The Game Plan for Bendigo –
with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets ($40 All-Up)
In Sin City (Race 2 No.1)
$1.90
This
guy has had excuses in his three starts this preparation and while we are
taking a little punt on him getting back to his best, the things he has in his
favour is that he has the drawn to probably hold the lead, and he had always
been well-rated so getting into a pretty soft race, he really should be hard to
run down.
Stunning Grin (Race 8
No.7) $1.70
Punters
looking for just one bet on the program would do well to isolate this guy
because he really is the class here. His last start win was dominant in a race
no harder than this and the smaller field means he should be able to bully his
way into the first couple at some stage.
Best Value ($10 win x $15
place)
Daylight Dan (Race 5 No.2)
$4.40
This
is a really interesting race however the speed map here may play right into the
hands of Daylight Dan (2). If Suspicious Behavia (1) fires off the arm
as expected and holds the front, he can slot in nicely behind the leader in the
small field. He was solid when first up for team Sugars last time and any
improvement at all would see him in with a winning chance here.
Gian (Race 6 No.1) $8.50
We
are going to back up in the very next race here because I can see this guy
getting a lovely pegline run and while he isn’t necessarily the best horse in
this race, he is super honest and if he runs up to either of his last two
placings behind Philtra Phella or Cootas Tooth, I can see him sneaking a place
at the very worst.
The Money Race
Race 1 ($50 worth of flexi
trifectas)
Jedi Mind (9) is
shaping as nice horse and even from the second row does look the horse to beat.
If he is to be rolled however, the very speedy and well-related Williamlee
(5) looks the only serious threat so given it looks a wide race outside
those two, we will play the following trifecta combinations.
9/5/1,2,6,7,8,10.
$24 gets 400%
5/9/1,2,6,7,8,10.
$16 gets 266.67%
Quaddies (x2 worth $100)
2,6,7/1,2,4/1,2,5/7. $68
gets 250%
2,6,7/1,2,4/6,7,10/7. $32
gets 118%
