This guy struck a much stronger race at Melton last time and never got a crack at them as he was dragged well out of play off the back. When he was clear he made up many lengths in the straight but was still beaten a fair way. The fact he should have finished a lot close there, along with his previous second at Echuca where he was just run down suggest he is closing in on his absolute best and quite frankly, that would be far too good for his opposition today.

Gidah (Race 2 No.9) $12
Gidah (9) is one of three Glenn Sharp runners here and despite being the equal longest in the market, might just be the best chance. His figure form doesn’t read amazingly well however he is does have a hint of talent and three starts ago he was just 10 metres off Salute The Wind, prior to that he was fourth and fifth’s to Glenferrie Typhoon and The Boss Man so he has found the right race today. We won’t be breaking the bank but he is worth an each-way play.

Bonny Under Fire (Race 4 No.11) $17
There is no doubt this girl strikes a stronger race today but I was taken by the way she knuckled down to reel in Tooram Lad last time. That was just her third start and she does still appear to be pretty green however Master Mach Manus (2) only knows one way so with the speed likely to be on from the outside, she can finish off into a place for sure and possibly even win.

The Money Race

Race 7 ($45 worth of Flexi Trifectas)
This is a race where I think More Than Alright (2) gets in pretty well, she sat parked and battled on well in a swoopers race last time and defeated a multiple Melton winner in Illawong Fantasia prior to that. Passing Thru (5) also has his fair share of ability winning 3 from 5 and should be right in the mix so we will play a few trifectas as outlined below.
