This mare has had three starts since switching over to the Scott Dyer stable and all three have been very good. After a narrow second to the handy Illawong Joyful, she has ripped out a 1:56.5 win at Bendigo when defeating the C1-2 pacers by 11 metres followed by a gritty three-wide win at Swan Hill. She has to take on Blitzsuzy (2) today who is very good in her own right but I think Desiring Kate (6) may go on to better things so rates as the best of the day.

Aventador (Race 2 No.2) $6

This guy has drawn poorly at his last two runs, both at this track, and run home well in each. Last time he was pushed off the track on straightening but kept finding the line in a fairly strong C0 race and given the generous drop in class of horse he will meet today, coupled with the better draw, I think he is clearly the horse to beat.

Champ Devine (Race 6 No.5) $10
There is no doubt there are a few promising types engaged here so we won’t be going all out however I think Champ Devine (5) is worth an each-way bet skewed to the place. If we forgive last start wherever he galloped, he was a winner two starts back off 20 metres, albeit in easier class, and lead from his 10-metre mark four starts ago to again win. The start will be all important but if he steps cleanly expect him to quickly position up in the first couple and give us a decent run for our money.

The Money Race

Milly Perez (1) is absolutely flying and let fly with a 56.4sec half when parked 3 starts ago so we know she can handle the track and she really does look close to a good thing. There are limited chances to run second as well with Attack On Command (2) winning his last two and well up to this class while Puddinhead (9) might be the blowout with a good run through. That said, we will play the below trifectas.
