Best Bet ($50 win)
Garibaldi (Race 7 No.3) $3.40
This fella was a winner of just one from 13 in New Zealand but he really switched on in his last four starts before crossing the ditch. He has now put two wins in a row together and his debut in Australia was visually stunning. It was clearly a much easier race and he didn’t break the clock however the way he won suggests there is plenty more in store so from the better barrier he is worth a bet today.
Lively Princess (Race 8 No.10) $3.30
In a tough race I think this mare has a serious winning
shot. She was terrific when rounding them up last time and two starts prior she
did run second to Whereibylong so she has some decent form under her belt.
There is no doubt Royal Hustler (11) will be a major stumbling block
down in class but I just think this mare is in the zone and can get the job
done again.
The Money Race
Race 4 ($40 worth of Flexi Trifectas)I’m pretty keen to play in this race because all though there are probably no superstars here, this lot have been going around in similar races so hopefully the form stacks up well. Its Raining (3) and Life On Mars (4) look to have a fairly handy class edge on their rivals while Burniesneverhome (5) rates the next best and must go into all our trifectas. In case something unexpected happens, we will play two saver trifectas with a few wider hopes to run second or third.
