Good Form Preview - Monday @ Hamilton

The Game Plan for Hamilton – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
With our good friend @JasonBonnington away for the next three weeks it’s time to knuckle down and continue the good work that the blog has churned out in the last week and I think we can do just that today at Hamilton. We will start with our two-pronged all-up in Races 4 & 6 while trying to split that with our best roughie in the fifth. But too be honest, a lot of our day will hinge around Little Lyn in Race 6 with the money race, Quaddie and all-up all centred around her.

Best Bets / All Up ($60)
Eliseos Falcon (Race 4 No.5) $2.60
This guy might be a 3YO taking on the older c2-3 horses today but he was rather unlucky in a stronger race just under a fortnight ago. Locked away in the one by one he never really saw daylight until the last 75 metres where he picked up sufficiently to suggest he is still in ripping form. He isn’t the most brilliant beginner but he has no qualms doing it tough so expect to see him roll up outside either of the likely leaders in Amberlu Angus (2) or Citysneak (3) and simply crush them when the time is appropriate.

Little Lyn (Race 6 No.1) $2.40
We will have to wait a little while for the second-leg of our All-up today but hopefully it’s worth the wait with Little Lyn (1) drawn to hold her rivals wide early and then finally break through into the winners stall. She was beaten by just under 6 metres last time behind Smileawayjo who well and truly franked that form by defeating Bespoke Artist last Thursday. All things being equal it should be a relatively painless end to our investment.

Best Roughie ($10 win x $15 place)
Glenburn Rock (Race 5 No.4) $12
There is a little bit of speed drawn underneath this guy so don’t expect him to just stroll to the front and win however in a race with very little depth on the front row, I think we can count on this guy to run some sort of race for us. He was a little disappointing in stronger class last time but two starts back was defeated just 6.3 metres (from the chair) by today’s likely favourite Franciselizabeth (12) who had the pole in that clash but must now be content with the horror draw.

The Money Races ($50 flexi trifectas)
Race 6
As mentioned above this looks an outstanding race for Little Lyn (1) and although it might seem a little greedy, I think we can double up here by attacking the Trifecta pool. The key dangers look to be In The Trenches (4) who is first-up but has won a Maryborough trial on resumption and was terrifically consistent in his first two campaigns, arguably in stronger class, while Whatahottie (11) is ODM but has shown good ability in three starts to date. We are going to play three trifectas in the hope of turning a profit with Just Call Me Mac (2), Usage (7), Diamonds At Dusk (8) and Our Supreme Guy (10) all capable of running a place.

4,11/1/2,4,7,8,10,11. $15 gets 150%

Quaddies (x3 worth $120)

2,3,6,8/4,6,10,12/1/5,7,9,10. $40 gets 62.50%
5/4,6,10,12/4,7,8,11/5,7,9,10. $32 gets 50%
