Good Form Preview - Saturday Night @ Bray

The Game Plan for Ballarat – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
We’ve got a fantastic 10 race program on our hands tonight with the Colin and Heather Holloway Classic the feature but plenty of class littered all over the place. I’m keen to play a couple of best bets, another two roughies plus a money race and the all-important Quaddies.

Best Bets ($40 win)
Amajorjo (Race 5 No.6) $3
I’m not going to lie to punters here, we are taking a little risk best-betting this guy given his figure form from a spell reads 9 & 8 however first-up he was stuck death seating and dropped right out and last time he never saw daylight till into the straight where he ran home soundly under impossible circumstances. Given he has ripping gate speed we can expect him to be set alight early and if he does find the top he can run them along and break their hearts.

The Boss Man (Race 6 No.9) $1.50
The touch of class this bloke has means he will probably start favourite in most races he goes around in but I think tonight he has found the right race to make it two in a row. I think from the standing start, provided he makes a clean get away, he can sit comfortably back in the field and pull wide for one run inside the last lap to outstay his rivals.

Best Roughies ($10 win x $15 place)
Illawong Flamenco (Race 2 No.1) $17
This girl wasn’t really tested off the arm to hold the leaders back last time and despite only being an R0 race, the winner was having its first start from across the ditch and the 1:58.1 mile rate is handy enough for that class. That run showed that she may have turned the corner so at big odds I think we can bank on her to run some sort of race given I think she has the speed to either lead, or take a trail.

Smileawayjo (Race 7 No.3) $26
I’m not sure we are going to see $26 about this fella but if we get anything like it I think he is a huge overlay. He may not have quite reached the heights of fellow rivals Major Crocker (2) and Motor Smoker (8) but he is ripping up the track rating 1:57.1 at Bray last start when he sliced home in 57.1secs. He would only need to take a half step up to be ultra-competitive in this.

The Money Race ($50 worth of Flexi Trifectas)
Race 3
3,6/3,6/1,7. $20 gets 500%
3,6/1,7/3,6. $10 gets 250%
7/3,6/1,3,6. $10 gets 250%

The EARLY Quad (x1 worth $50)
2,6,7,9,10/1,5,7,8,9/3,6/1,2,7,9. $50 gets 25%

Quaddies (x4 worth $110)
6,9,10/9/2,3,8/5,7. $44 gets 244%
6,9,10/4,7,10,11,12/2,3,8/5,7. $30 gets 33.33%
5,7,11/9/2,3,8/5,7. $18 gets 100%
5,7,11/4,7,10,11,12/2,3,8/5,7. $20 gets 22.22%
