Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Maryborough

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Best Bet
Galeforce Grin (Race 6 no. 1) $1.70
I could probably go on for 1000 words explaining why this girl should win but instead I’ll do it in dot-point form

* She draws ideally in one and is a quick enough beginner to hold the lead in transit.
* She is one of only two winners engaged & the other, Magic One, is out of form and poorly drawn.
* She is trained by a gun (Adam Kelly) & driven by a legend (Gavin Lang).
* She is currently racing in career best form.

Suffice to say that the $1.70 quoted in today’s Herald Sun is overs if it holds up.

The Money Race - Race 6
No surprise that the Money Race will feature our Best Bet Galeforce Grin (1) leading and winning. She does have some speed drawn outside her here but if Gavin can burrow through and hold the top & Policious (8) can keep their back then they really should run one-two or one-three at very worst. Beyond those two the race is very hard to work out so play with plenty for second and third and hope for a roughish result!

1/ 8/ 2,4,9,12. $40 gets 1000%
1/ 8/ 3,6,7,10,11. $25 gets 500%
1/ 2,4,9,12/ 8. $20 gets 500%
1/ 3,6,7,10,11/ 8. $15 gets 300%

Quaddies (2)
1,3,6,7/ Field/ 1/ 11. $100 gets 227.27%

* CAVEAT – We’ve done this a bit recently so you should know the drill, but when we have only one horse in the final leg of the Quad it may pay to get your approximates & lay off on another couple of runners if the dividend warrants it. If you are to lay off anywhere I would suggest you attack Mister Orion (6) & Sunrose Don (4).

ALL UP

Goodtime Mike (Race 3 no. 5) $1.30
Galeforce Grin (Race 6 no. 1) $1.70

I’m going to take them for $300 and if I go close to doubling my money I’ll be a happy man.

THE MONEY RACE

Race 3
As mentioned above I’m keen on Goodtime Mike to win this event and I think it looks an easy kill from an exotic point of view with Valley Of Diamonds a clear second pick and What I Mean To Say and Lotsa Life the only possible place chances.  I’m going to take the below trifectas for $100 total spend, which along with my All Up and Quaddie will take my total outlay for the day to $500.

5/ 8/ 6,7.  $80 gets you 4000%
5/ 6,7/ 8.  $20 gets you 1000%

QUADDIES X 4
1/ 1,2,3,6,9/ 1/ 11.  $25 gets you 500%
1/ 1,2,3,6,9/ 1/ 3,4,5,6.  $35 gets you 175%
3,6,7/ 1,2,3,6,9/ 1/ 11.  $25 gets you 166.66%
3,6,7/ 1,2,3,6,9/ 1/ 3,4,5,6.  $15 gets you 25%
