Mildura Trainer Talk – Luke Watson
Luke Watson is usually a driver to follow at a Mildura meeting, but today he is leaving that duty to Nigel Milne, who will drive his team as he heads to Adelaide for a heat of the Southern Star Series to drive the unraced two-year old Elliott Bromac for his father Ian. But he still gave us his time to talk about his two runners that have really good chances on the program.

White Sands (Race 2 no.3)
“I think he’s coming back to the form that he showed before the Mildura Cup Carnival. I know he was disappointing last start but he has trialled well since and we will make it a staying trip and I think he can bounce back to some winning form.”

Caulonia Babe (Race 7 no.2)
“She doesn’t know how to run a bad race. I love the mare she always tries her heart out and once again she is an each way chance. I had to make my run a little early last start but today she should roll to the front and take some running down.”
