The fact that there will be a second line in just two races
this evening gives you a good indication of how small the fields are, yet
amazingly there are multiple winning hopes in every race of the night.
Thankfully there is a genuine highlight to end the programme where
several horses destined for bigger and better things will go around but from a
punting perspective it’s pretty light on. In total I’m just going to target 1
Best Bet, 1 Best Value, 2 Money Races and a hopeful Quad.
Best Bet ($50 Win)
Lombo Krista Bella (Race 2 no. 2) $2.20
Like most races tonight, this one is tricky to work out, but
I’ve got a bit of time for the above pacer and if she can return to her form of
two stars back when smashing an OK 3YO field at Horsham I just think she’ll be
a shade too good.
Best Value ($50 Win)
Cyrus (Race 7 no. 2) $4.50
As mentioned in the preamble, this race is an absolute
ripper and the way I’ve got it playing out I think this guy can stay in front
of his major rivals at the start (I actually have him finding the front) and
from there it will take a big performance to see such a tough pacer hunted
down. It is worth remembering w/ the boom around Western Rockstar (6) that
this bloke spotted that horse a big margin and finished off 0.5-sec faster than
him when they last met at Melton so w/ the roles reversed tonight he
is the one to beat.
The Money Races
Race 2 (Flexi First 4’s for $50)
We’re going to have to play First 4’s to get anything
happening here but I’m confident we’ll get some reward so long as Lombo
Krista Bella (2) wins!
2/ 3,5/ 3,5/ 1,4,6. $30 gets 500%
2/ 3,5/ 1,6/ 1,3,4,5,6. $20 gets 166.67%
Race 4 (Flexi Trifectas for $50)
There are only four hopes here so we’re going to mix and
match them a little to try and land some coin.
3/ 4,5,6 /4,5,6. $20 gets 333.33%
4,6/ 3,4,5,6/ 3,4,5,6. $30 gets 250%
The Quad
3,4,5,6/ 1,2,3,4,5,8/ 2,3,7/ 1,2,5,6. $100 gets 34.72%
