It was a brutal punting weekend for almost everyone, including Good Form followers but as punters we have to put that disappointment behind us, lick our wounds and get set for another assault knowing we lost the battle but we’ll always win the war. Today we’re having only four bets but playing for a pretty decent collect with our Best Bet paying very handsomely and our Best Value also at pretty decent odds. We’re also having a really good crack at the one Money Race and taking three staggered Quads for the standard $100 outlay.

Best Bet ($25 win)

Gohardorgohome (Race 5 no. 7) $3.80
This bloke arrives here as a new season 4YO w/ four wins already next to his name and the scope for several more. He is blisteringly quick off the arm and should either lead them around or sit parked outside Stuck In Second (2). If he leads I can’t see how they’d run him down and even if he sits parked I think if he’s rated well by Zac Phillips they’d have a tough time holding him out.

Astronaut (Race 4 no. 7) $8.50
There are only seven horses engaged here – so only two place dividends will be paid - and Franco Jackson (1) will be tough to roll but I just think this guy has been tackling much tougher races of late and been more than holding his own. He also has versatility in his favour as he can either have a little dip for the front and sit parked if things don’t work out or snag at the start and still have a say in the finish.

A genuine 6YO pacer, he has gone under to very smart pacers in Indulgent and Fearless Leader at his past two and is just itching to break through in a race of this nature.
