Today’s programme is one where you either commit to a skinny
All-Up and throw most if not all the card’s short priced favourites in the mix,
or you sit back and let the Quaddie (which includes a few of those red figure
hot-pots) be the focus of you afternoon. I’m not 100% certain that all the
shorties are over the linE so I’m going to take the latter approach while also
incorporating one Best Roughie and a fantastic little Money Race.
Best Roughie ($5 x $20)
Lerrad Maharg (Race 3 no. 7) $14
I wouldn’t be breaking the bank here but if you want an
interest bet early in the Day, this guy looks a reasonable option. Put simply,
it’s a pretty open race where he should get a soft trip early and if he runs on
as well as he can, the $14 should look OK on that 1 x 3 basis.
The Money Race – Race 5 (Flexi Trifectas for $100)
The wraps on Glasscutterspirit (6) on debut for
Shayne Cramp were huge and they were well and truly matched by his performance
when drawing away to win by 16.7m in a blistering last half of 56.9. He will
obliterate this field w/ a replica performance and given Pirates Plunder (9)
is a clear second pick and should finish no worse than third our Trifectas
are virtually laid out before us.
6/ 9/ 4,8. $48 gets 2400%
6/ 9/ 3,5,7. $27 gets 900%
6/ 4,8/ 9. $16 gets 800%
6/ 3,5,7/ 9. $9 gets 300%
Quaddies (x4)
6/ 6/ 2/ 3. $35 gets 3500%
6/ 6/ 5,6/ 3. $20 gets 1000%
5,7,9/ 6/ 2/ 3. $30 gets 1000%
5,7,9/ 6/ 5,6/ 3. $15 gets 250%
*CAVEAT: We’ve played pretty fast & loose by having Shes
A Killer one-out in the last leg so if we get to the final hurdle, you
should check our approximates and look to lay-off if the dividends warrant it.
