Good Form Preview - Tuesday Night @ Cranbourne

The Game Plan for Cranbourne – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Top flight trainer Dean Braun has been making Cranbourne his own personal playground in recent weeks and that trend should continue today. I am not promising too much by way of price but I will be targeting a pretty skinny All-Up incorporating two Braun-trained runners while I’ve also found a roughie worth backing later in the programme, a pretty tidy Money Race as well as some Quads.

Best Bets/All-Up ($50 All-Up)
Tandias Bromac (Race 2 no. 6) $2.80
While I have obvious respect for Glenn Douglas’ Kiwi recruit Nimble Jack (1) I have been too impressed by Dean Braun’s star filly to see her losing here, particularly as the polemarker may get headed at the start. I also warn punters that the $2.80 is unlikely to be on offer. Very unlikely.

Melita Bromac (Race 3 no. 2) $1.70
Another Cranbourne race, another Dean Braun trained star that is likely to win here. The above filly was arrogant winning on debut at this course and given the horse that finished second to her went on to win at Shepparton yesterday I’m confident she can lob anywhere here and still prove too good.

Invasive (Race 8 no. 2) $1.40
This guy went unbelievably well when narrowly failing to Our Dreamlover at Maryborough last start and if he stays in gait here they should not get near him tonight.

Best Roughie ($25 Each Way)
Sterlish (Race 7 no. 9) $13
This guy has stayed under notice since a couple of excellent efforts behind Youranut and Tara Toplady and while he hasn’t troubled the scorer at his past few he has been running on quite well. I can see some fireworks at the start here and with this bloke’s finishing speed and impressive Cranbourne record (6:2-0-1) he’s worth an Each way wager.

The Money Race – Race 6
This looks a super betting race, where Burra Sullivan (3) & Rule Like A King (7) look to have something on their rivals. The former horse can be a touch risky so we’ll play a few ways but have a genuine crack and you should come out on top.

3,7/ 3,7/ 8,9. $60 gets 1500%
3,7/ 8,9/ 3,7. $20 gets 500%
3,7/ 8,9/ 8,9. $10 gets 250%
3,7/ 3,7/ 4,6. $10 gets 250%

Quaddies (x3)
12/ 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,11/ 3,7/ 1,4,5,6,7,9. $40 gets 41.67%
6,10/ 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,11/ 3,7/ 1,4,5,6,7,9. $48 gets 25%
3,4/ 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,11/ 3,7/ 1,4,5,6,7,9. $12 gets 6.25%

Star Trialler (Racing Today)
Franco Lordship (Race 7 no. 1) $8
Craig Demmler has had a pretty big opinion of this bloke since he arrived across the Tasman and while he showed glimpses last campaign he may now be ready to show his true talent following an encouraging trial effort where he finished second to subsequent Tabcorp Park winner Village Peach in 57.3 second last half at Ballarat.
