The Game Plan for Cranbourne - with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Best Bet ($50 Win)
Evil Trickster (Race 6 no. 3) $5
Thus guy stood out to me as sonn as I picked up the formguide. In short, he is an excellent beginner who has had very little luck in recent runs and given he looks a 90% chance of leading them around here I think he's clearly the one to beat racing, particularly as he's racing out of his class w/ talented apprentice Reece Moore in the cart.
Best Value ($25 Each Way)
Mor Laag (Race 1 no. 8) $9
Would have loved it if this bloke had trialled for his return to the track but the facts are he can reel off a pretty handy quarter and should prove dangerous from three back the poles in transit. He'll need luck but the Cranbourne sprint lane is Victoria's most potent and he's a huge chance of busting his maiden tonight.
Best Roughies ($25 Place)
Go Betweens (Race 2 no.11) $11
Melito Bromac (2) is definitely the horse to beat on denut for Dean Braun here but if you're getting $3.50 the drum about this bloke he's worth a place ticket after three encouraging runs with Nathan Jack taking the reins.
Kai Star Fella (Race 5 no. 9) $51
This bloke is at gargantuan odds in today's Herald Sun but in a race with plenty of question marks I think he's some sort of chance to finish on the podium after finishing off in 58.8 during a Bacchus Marsh trial win which is no mean feat at that course.
The Money Race - Race 6
I've already outlined the fact I'm pretty keen on Evil Trickster (3) and the best thing about him is I can't see him finishing any worse than second. With that in mind I'm going to have the below Trifectas and I'm expecting a result.
3/ 1,2,7/ 1,2,4,7. $36 gets 400%
1,2,7/ 3/ 1,2,4,7. $14 gets 155.56%
Quaddies (x2)
1,3,4,5,6,7,9/ 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9/ 3/ 2,3,4,5,7. $58 gets 20.71%
1,3,4,5,6,7,9/ 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9/ 1,2,7/ 2,3,4,5,7. $42 gets 5%
