Tonight’s Sunraysia card is a little different to normal as there should be no more than two red figure favourites across the eight-race card. This means that we’ll have to avoid the monster All-Up or Formula wagers we’d usually partake in at this course in preference for 2 Value Bets, 2 Money Races and some Quads.
Best Value ($25 Each Way)
Attitude Adjuster (Race 4 no. 8) $4.50This is one of many races today w/ three or four winning chances but I’m relying upon two things to help the above pacer get the chocolates. The first is that w/ Ignite The Fuse (1) and Bretaca (2) both engaged there should be a savage early burn which will soften both horses up. The second is that our guy is first up for Shayne Cramp and that’s never a sign they’re on the downhill slide.
McArdles Art (Race 6 no. 1) $5.50
A few things are going to have to go right both at the start
and the finish for this guy but the fact remains he has been a dead-set Good
Form Black booker at both of his past two runs and he deserves to break through
from the ideal alley so if a) he holds the leaders back at worst in transit and
b) the gaps open up for him late – he should be winning this in his current
vein of form.
The Money Races ($50 Flexi Trifectas)
Race 2I’m very confident one of the two Cramp runners will win and both should feature on the podium. Pental Cracker (11) is the better horse for mine but Embraced (1) has the draw and deserves to rate on top as a result.

Race 7
The poorly drawn guns should dominate proceedings here so
expect Glasscutterspririt (9) and Pirates Plunder (10) to fight
out the finish and both finish on the dais because if they don’t we’ve done our
dough for sure!

Best Bet
(Race 2 No 1 Embraced) ($50 Win) $2.65
This mare has run
well at her past two runs from second row draws in South Australia. She has her
first start here for the Shayne Cramp stables and from the draw she should have
enough gate speed to hold the lead in a very winnable race. Her biggest danger
is probably stable mate Pental Cracker but she is poorly drawn on the outside
of the second line.
Best Value
(Race 5 No 2 Blissful Hart) ($50W/$50P) $4.50This guy found plenty in the lane to score comfortably last start after parking in the breeze at Shepparton. He meets some good opposition tonight but it’s hard to ignore the form he is in and I expect him to be right in the finish again from the good draw.
