Good Form Quest - Return of the Octoquad

The Game Plan for Shepparton – with Michael Polster (@MickPolster)

Best Bets

Jaccka Tom (Race 4 no. 7) ($1.70)

Former Kiwi now with Glenn Douglas who trialled well at Bendigo last Monday to prepare him for his Aussie debut. He showed gate speed to lead at his latest win in New Zealand and he looks destined for first up success.

Shez Misunderstood (Race 5 no. 2) ($2.20)

Hit the line well for a close up fourth to My Mums A Star on this circuit last start in what was just a dash up the straight. She looks like getting an easy lead tonight and with no real pressure in the affair she should go wire-to-wire.

Ezee Duzit Lombo (Race 7 no. 2) ($2.20)

Was just nabbed on the post here first up from a break by The Cavalier after looking the winner at the 100m and will be improved. She has shown gate speed in the past and whether she leads or sits just off the pace she will be extremely hard to beat.

Best Quinella

Twindet and Modern Lebron (Race 6 no’s 4 and 6)

Twindet looks like working to the lead early before handing up to Modern Lebron and if that scenario plays out they are guaranteed to run 1,2.

Quaddies (x8)

1,3,5,6,8/ 1,7/ 4,6/ 5,10.  $5 gets you 12.5%

BLACK BOOKER (Racing Tonight)

Ohoka Courage (Race 7 no. 10) ($4)

Had no luck whatsoever here last start from behind the stand where he was slow to begin before being held up badly behind One More Smile. His form prior was excellent including a slashing second to Wunlastchance at Echuca two back and he’ll be dangerous in this with better fortune. Click here to view the run.

STAR TRIALLERS

Wildenstein (Race 2 no. 3) ($2.10)
Won 3 of his 12 outings last term and resumes off the back of trial victories at Bendigo and on this circuit recently to ready him for this assignment. He is ODS but has won 2 of 8 from behind the strands and with the lead his for sure should he make a clean getaway he should go very close first up.

Jaccka Tom (Race 4 no. 7) ($1.70)
Former Kiwi who joins Glenn Douglas with handy form next to his name and he trialled OK at Bendigo last Monday to prepare him for his Aussie debut. He comes up with the extreme alley and will have to do some work in the run but he strikes a moderate race and first up success is on the cards.

Nor Nor West (Race 8 no. 3) ($4)
Mark Buckingham-trained Modern Art gelding on debut that is unbeaten in three trials at Albury recently and looks to have his share of talent. He draws to advantage first up, strikes a winnable race and providing he goes around safely he should prove tough to beat at his first crack at this caper.

BLACK BOOKER (Cranbourne Last Night)

Caribbean Blaster
Travelled wide the final circuit and was entitled to drop off at the 400m after the leaders ran 27.1 but he just kept on coming in the straight to run a terrific third to Terrorway. He heads to the Victoria Cup next week and although it will be a stronger field than last night he is still a live winning chance with the right draw and run in transit.
