Good Form Preview - Christmas Eve @ Mary

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Best Bet

Advance To Go (Race 7 no. 2) ($5) ($50 Each Way)
This guy has plenty of ability on his day and appears superbly suited from the draw here where he can rifle to the front early in the race and have options once he does. I suspect John Caldow might chance his arm and try for an all-the-way win but even if he hands up I think he’s incredible Each Way value.

The Money Race

Race 4
These early season three-year-old events are very often outstanding betting races as the class runners are established and there are several runners with little or no hope of filling a place. In this event  Timeseel (4) are the obvious A-graders while Soho Eastwood (6) and Easy Lightning (12) also look a fair bit better than their next tier of rivals. You can base Trifectas around them if you wish but I’m going one step further with the First 4’s outlined below.

4,9/ 4,9/ 6,12/ 3,6,8,9,10,12. $60 gets 300%.
4,9/ 6,12/ 4,6,9,12/ 3,4,6,8,9,10,12. $40 gets 100%.

Quaddies (x4)
4,9/ 6,7,8,10,11,12/ 2/ 2.                                 $36 gets 150%.
4,9,/ 6,7,8,10,11,12/ 2/ 1,4,6,10,11,12.           $36 gets 50%.
4,9/ 6,7,8,10,11,12/ 9,11,13/ 2.                       $18 gets 50%.
4,9,/ 6,7,8,10,11,12/ 9,11,13/ 1,4,6,10,11,12. $10 gets 9.26%.

Star Triallers

Timeseel (Race 4 no. 4) ($2.70)
He is one of many talented youngsters in the Emma Stewart stable who cruised home in a slowly run Ballarat trial 17 days back when zipping home in 58.1 to ready himself for this first up assignment. He’s drawn to advantage and looks terribly difficult to beat.

Ginger Bliss (Race 4 no. 9) ($2.90)
This bloke is unbeaten in three trial efforts leading into his first up run today. The most impressive of his preliminaries was at Tabcorp Park when too good for Nikkis Delight in a 58.35-second last half on December 3. He was a revelation late last season and can also snare the prize today.

Sir Pegasus (Race 8 no. 2) ($4.70)
This trotter has always had ability and displayed his readiness for a fruitful campaign when second to Rosalie Bay in a Kilmore trial 13 days ago. His race is tough but he’s well drawn and can figure today.

BLACK BOOKERS – (Shepparton Saturday Night)

The Cavalier
This guy is low flying at present and isn’t far off winning another one on his effort last night where he hit the line strongly for second to the top class mare Bellas Delight in a slippery last quarter. Click here to view the run.

Say Cheese
Looked a good thing licked after being dragged out to near last by a tiring leader before hitting the line hard late for third to Sealed Package and will be winning a similar race very soon. Click here to view the run.
