THE GAME PLAN for Maryborough – with Michael Polster
The Money Races
Race 3
Goodtime Slater is first up from a spell but he looks too good for his rivals with Forest Fury a clear second pick so I think the best way to attack this race is via some trifectas.
Below is how I’m playing with a $100 total spend.
2/ 4/ 3,6,7,11.$60 gets you 1500%
2/ 3,6,7,11/ 4.$40 gets you 1000%
Race 5
Narre Boy and Metro Mike are a big chance of being leader, behind leader here and if that is the case then they are almost guaranteed to run the quinella with all of the other runners in with a shot at filling third so I’m going hard in a trifecta hoping for some value behind that pair. Here’s how I’m playing with $100 total spend.
1.8/ 1,8/ Field.$100 gets you 833.33%
Quaddie
1,2,3,4,6,7,11,12/ 1,8/ 1,2,8,9,11,12/ 1,6,8,9. $100 gets you 26.04%
Has asHafinished runner-up at her past four outings at Melton behind the likes of Beach Melody, Centonic, Blucolla Tigerpie and Lombo Cloud Nine so to say she is overdue a win and that she will relish the drop back in grade is an understatement. She looks a great chance of getting the lead tonight and with a lack of any real pressure in the affair it will take a special performance from one of her rivals to mow her down.
The Money Races
Race 5
My Hard Copy, Colby Reilly and Easy Lightning look head and shoulders above their rivals and look a great base for some first fours.Below is how I’m playing with $100 total spend.
3,11,12/ 3,11,12/ 3,11,12/ 1,2,6,7,9,10.$50 gets you 138.88%
3,11,12/ 3,11,12/ 1,2,6,7,9,10/ 3,11,12.$50 gets you 138.88%
Race 7
As mentioned earlier I’m very keen on Born Again Sassy to lead and win so I’m anchoring her around the other two favourites Pembrook Caesar and Madam Pom Pom in first fours plus I’ll take a saver with that pair just in case Born Again Sassy gets rolled.Below is how I’m playing with $100 total spend.
6/ 1,10/ 1,10/ 2,7,8,9.$30 gets you 375%
6/ 1,10/ 2,7,8,9/ 1,10.$30 gets you 375%

Quaddie
4,5,8,9,10/ 3,11,12/ 7,8,10/ 1,6,10. $100 gets you 74.07%
She was just passable at her first two starts on Aussie soil for Tim Butt behind bit Of A Babe and Our Missionary Man at Melton but she stepped up a notch with a fighting second to Dieing Secret there last time in the HBV Gold Chalice after setting the pace. She takes on some smart customers once more tonight but may be the pilot again from the ace alley and will be extremely hard to gun down should that scenario unfold.
Best Value Bets
Royal Witness (Race 5 no. 11) $3.70
He was game in defeat behind Machin Out in his heat of tonight’s final after parking out and will be further improved by that outing as it was his first for three weeks. He has the back row draw to overcome but may be lucky enough to get a drag into it and should take holding out at the business end.
Whata Avenue (Race 7 no. 4) $4.50
Was super first up from a short break here 17 days ago when a narrow second to Narre Boy after doing her share of work in the run and with the early lead likely to be hers tonight Gavin Lang will give her every chance thereafter.
The Money Race (Race 4)
Pinning my hopes on tonight’s best bet Askmehow with Pressplay the other one to anchor some trifectas around.I’ll also take another with Askmehow as a saver just in case.Below is how I’m spending $100 on the race.
1/ 2/ 3,4,5,6,11,12.$30 gets you 500%
1/ 3,4,5,6,11,12/ 2.$30 gets you 500%
2,3,4/ 1/ 2,3,4,5,6,11,12.$40 gets you 222.22%
Quaddies (x2) ($100 outlay)
1,2,3,4/ 6,7,9,10,11,12/ 1/ 4,5,6,7. $50 gets you 52.08%
1,2,3,4/ 6,7,9,10,11,12/ 2,8/ 4,5,6,7. $50 gets you 26.04%
Unbeaten in three runs for Ross Sugars this campaign and she looks a great chance of making it four on the bounce tonight as she should have the speed to lead from the ace alley and Greg Sugars would only need to steal a cheap quarter to get her home.
Best Value Bet
Hoagy Bromac (Race 3 no. 3) $4
This guy hasn’t been suited by back row draws at his past couple but tonight he gets the opportunity to race at the head of affairs and looks worthy of a gamble each way in an open contest.
The Money Race (Race 1)
Looks a typically tricky night at headquarters but I think the best race to play is the opener where Majestic Reign looks too good for her rivals and there appear to be limited place chances so I’m spending $100 on the following bets.
Trifecta: 1/ 5,6/ 2,5,6,9,10.$50 gets you 625%
First Four: 1/ 5,6/ 2,5,6,9,10/ 2,5,6,9,10.$50 gets you 208.33%
Quaddies (x4) ($100 outlay)
1/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 2,11/ 1,3,4,5,9,10. $30 gets you 50%
1/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 4,8,13/ 1,3,4,5,9,10. $30 gets you 33.33%
5,8,9/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 2,11/ 1,3,4,5,9,10. $20 gets you 11.11%
5,8,9/ 3,6,7,8,10/ 4,8,13/ 1,3,4,5,9,10. $20 gets you 7.4%
There won’t be much value on offer but this pair will be leader, behind leader in the run and look a moral quinella.
Race 7
Ronzel Gem (5) and Aldebaran Bluechip (7)
A little bit more risk involved in this one but they are clearly better than their rivals and should run 1,2 with ordinary luck.
Best First Four (Race 3)
Dream La Vita should speed straight to the lead and will win for fun with Ruthless Jack and Huchi Fella looking better than the rest so they look the ones to play with in first four combinations.
Below is how I’m playing with $100 total spend. We may get a decent dividend here if a roughie can sneak into third or fourth spot for us.
THE GAME PLANS for Ballarat Michael Polster (@MickPolster)
The Money Races
Really like the look of the second half of tonight’s card and I’m keen to get involved with some trifectas.I’m spending $100 on each race for a total outlay of $400, but you can scale the bets down to suit your budget if you wish.
Race 4
Think Mister Sheedy will do enough to hold the lead from the pole and he should get home thereafter with Im Barney Rubble looking the one to anchor trifectas around but I’m also playing wider just in case that bloke doesn’t fire first up.
Trifecta: 1/ 7/ 3,4,5,8.$20 gets you 500%
Trifecta: 1/ 3,4,5,8/ 7.$20 gets you 500%
Trifecta: 1/ 3,4,5,7,8/ 3,4,5,7,8.$60 gets you 300%
Race 5
Barkers Hall looks like having the necessary speed to get to the lead from his wide draw and shouldn’t miss the top two so I’m playing the below trifectas with him to win or run second.
Trifecta: 7/ 3,4,5/ 1,3,4,5,6,8,11.$64 gets you 355.55%
Trifecta: 3,4,5/ 7/ 1,3,4,5,6,8,11.$36 gets you 200%
Race 6
Foldem and Now Shezaterror are the ones to beat here with Be Cool a clear third pick so I’m going skinny with a trifecta with that trio to dominate and taking another with a few others to fill third spot as a backup plan.
Trifecta: 1,7/ 1,7,11/ 1,7,11.$40 gets you 1000%
Trifecta: 1,7/ 1,7,11/ 2,3,4,8,9,10.$60 gets you 250%
Race 7
My speed map has Mister Grizzly finding the pegs first before handing up to Decorated Jasper and if that scenario unfolds I really doubt they will beat him but I’m also having a saver with main dangers Saint Flash and Melpark Major just in case.
Trifecta: 6/ 3,4,7/ 2,3,4,7.$80 gets you 888.88%
Trifecta: 4,7/ 6/ 2,3,4,7.$20 gets you 333.33%
Quaddiesx8 (Octoquad)
1/ 7/ 1,7/ 6. $20 gets you 1000%

1/ 3,4,5/ 1,7/ 6. $15 gets you 250%
1/ 3,4,5/ 1,7/ 4,7. $10 gets you 83.33%
3,5,7/ 7/ 1,7/ 6.$10 gets you 166.66%
3,5,7/ 7/ 1,7/ 4,7.$10 gets you 83.33%
3,5,7/ 3,4,5/ 1,7/ 6.$10 gets you 55.55%
3,5,7/ 3,4,5/ 1,7/ 4,7.$10 gets you 27.77%
Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Short and
sweet tonight at Bray Raceway, Ballarat. It is a terrific card of racing but
there are a few vulnerable in most races and while we may well tip six winners
or more I’m hammering one Best Bet at what I’m hoping will be flip-of-the-coin
odds and a quartet of Quads which may yield a pretty substantial dividend - so
long as our Best Bet gets the cash!
Best Bet
Foldem (Race 6 no. 7) ($2.20) ($100 win)
This bloke
has rolled to the top, run along in transit and broken his rivals’ spirit in both
heat and semi final of the Snowball Series and should almost certainly sweep
that series in a similar fashion tonight. He has been significantly aided by
the fact his main and perhaps only danger Now
Shezaterror (1) is a slow beginner who’ll be spotting him many metres soon
after the start.
We’re
betting for value as usual tonight and I have a liking for this guy. He was a
big run at Maryborough when working hard in the breeze and third last week and
he meets beatable opposition here tonight.
Gluteus Major (Race 2 no. 10) ($4.50)
Zedalite
probably runs favourite but the way this guy is going he’s a lot better value
on an Each Way basis. His Kilmore win two back was a beauty and he was luckless
last start at Hamilton when shaking loose of a pocket and flying home for
third.
Best Roughie
One Fellas Fancy (Race 5 no.6) ($12)
She improved
big time on her prior form with an easy all-the-way win at Cranbourne last
week. Her gate speed will be important here as it may see her in front and at
the double figure odds she’s worth an Each Way wager.
The Game Plan for
Maryborough – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Best Bet Advance To Go (Race 7
no. 2) ($5) ($50 Each Way) This guy has plenty of ability on his day and appears
superbly suited from the draw here where he can rifle to the front early in the
race and have options once he does. I suspect John Caldow might chance his arm
and try for an all-the-way win but even if he hands up I think he’s incredible
Each Way value.
The Money Race Race 4
These early season three-year-old events are very often
outstanding betting races as the class runners are established and there are several
runners with little or no hope of filling a place. In this event Timeseel
(4) are the obvious A-graders while Soho
Eastwood (6) and Easy Lightning (12)
also look a fair bit better than their next tier of rivals. You can base Trifectas
around them if you wish but I’m going one step further with the First 4’s
outlined below.
THE GAME PLANS for Shepparton Michael Polster
(@MickPolster)
Best Bet
Gumdrops (Race 7 no. 11) ($3.50)
Didn’t have much luck at Cranbourne last start when sixth to
Jasmine Sheffield but she was super winning at Stawell and Maryborough prior coming
with one dash at them. She has the extreme gate over the short course tonight but
there should be some pace early on and if she is within striking distance on
the turn I doubt they will hold her out.
The Money Race (Race 9)
It’s a little scary pinning all your hopes on a $1500 3YO or
older for horses with no lifetime wins race but Sealed Package and Say Cheese
look much better than their rivals. That pair really should run 1,2 with any of
the remaining runners a chance of filling third or fourth so I’m hoping for a
few roughies to fill those spots and playing this way for $100 total spend.
Trifecta: 5,9/ 5,9/ Field. $28 gets you 155.55%
First Four: 5,9/ 5,9/ Field/ Field. $72 gets you 50%
Quaddies (x4)
3,7/ 9,10,12/ 10/ 5,8,10,11. $45 gets you 187.5%
3,7/ 1,2,4,6,7,8/ 10/ 5,8,10,11. $45 gets you 93.75% 5,6/ 9,10,12/ 10/ 5,8,10,11. $5 gets you 20.83% 5,6/ 1,2,4,6,7,8/ 10/ 5,8,10,11. $5 gets you 10.41% Bill Hutchison
(@Hutchysays)
As per usual I’ve scoured this meeting for value and found
three horses worth following on a reasonably tough night.
Illawong Bill (Race 5
no. 9) ($6)
He looked good on debut at Kilmore before a luckless run in
a strong field then missed away from the stand at Melton last time out. This is
his first run from the mobile but he is a likely type who will be suited by the
favourable trailing draw.
Major Megs (Race 6
no. 3) ($8)
Lennytheshark (10) stands
out form his rivals on class but he wasn’t super impressive despite winning
first up at Yarra Valley. For that reason this guy looks a good Each Way bet,
He was unbeaten as a juvenile then worked hard to find the lead before being
cut down late first up. He is a trial winner since so should be near his best.
Red Hot Chilli (Race
8 no. 2) ($3.50)
A talented trotter in good form she looks the other value
bet of the night, although she may start favourite from the handy draw.
It’s a tricky night @ Headquarters where we’re going to have
to make our money early on and via solid each way wagers on some genuine value
chances. Below is how I plan to do just that.
Best Value
Ballochbuie (Race 2 no. 2) ($8) ($25 EW)
This guy looks great odds considering his recent form which
includes a brave silver medal behind rising star Echeveria last time out.
Pressplay (Race 5 no. 6) ($12/$3.20) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet
on this horse now ($25 EW)
I’ve always been a fan of this filly and her first up effort
gave me every indication she’ll fulfil her potential this campaign. The double
figure quote is ridiculous so get involved ASAP.
Because I Can (Race 6 no. 6) ($13) ($25 EW)
This guy is a terrific leader who should cross those to his
inside pretty easily here and stack them up once he does. He’s another big over
for mine if he’s anything more than the $5 mark.
Best Roughies
Our Blackbird (Race 7 no. 7) ($17) ($10 x $40)
This bloke is a great beginner but he’ll be going back from
the wide front line draw here and hunting them down late, just as he did
recently in the Swan Hill Mile (4th). I’m tipping a swooper will win
this race and he’s as good a chance as any so the $17 looks sensational to me.
Sporty Mac (Race 11 no. 2) ($21) ($50 place)
He is a PLACE ONLY proposition but given he’ll lead early
and have option once he does in a skinny sort of race, if you can secure $5
place via fixed odds betting then lock yourself in and go for the ride.
Money Races
Race 2
The class runners have a fair bit on their rivals here so
expect the cream to rise to the top and have a lash at the following Trifectas.
2,4,9/ 2,4,5,9/ 2,4,5,9. $72 gets 400%.
2,4,9/ 2,4,5,9/ 1,12. $28 gets 155.55%.
Race 9
Simple philosophy here. Reckon Mark Dennis (3) will
work to the front over The Ragpickers Dream (1) and from there the
peg-line runners will rule. It’s a little risky but should bear fruit if
everything goes to plan.
This guy had no luck at all first up for Glenn Douglas at
Bendigo 9 days ago when held up badly until entering the straight before
rocketing home into fourth behind Narre Boy. He has a task tonight from the
extreme draw but may be lucky enough to gain a drag into it and will be hard to
hold out at the business end with his customary sprint.
Because I Can (Race 6 no. 6) ($13)
Has been freshened up by Lance Justice and will be dangerous
in this if he brings his latest form behind Chancellor Cullen and Keayang
Cullen on this track to the races tonight. He has blinding gate speed when
livened up and with a lack of any real dash to his inside he looks a big chance
of getting the lead and from there rod Petroff will give him every hope.
Atlas Alliance (Race 7 no. 2) ($3.70)
Gets in well with the claim for Rhys Nicholson and he will
find tonight’s assignment much easier than the Casey Classic he contested last
Saturday night when not disgraced behind Decorated Jasper. He has some speedy
beginners to his outside but he does leave the mobile well himself and if he
can either hold them at bay or at worst end up behind the leader he has a
terrific each way chance.
Jimmys Gem (Race 8 no. 7) ($6)
One paced type who battled on OK last time behind They Call
Me Chaos in a similar race to this last Saturday night in solid time after
doing his share of work in the run. He will appreciate the step up in distance
tonight and expect him to push forward, race up on the pace and give a good
account of himself at each way odds in what is an open affair.
Quaddies (x2)
1,2,4,12/ 11/ 1,3,4,6,8/ 1,2,3,4,11. $50 gets you 50%
1,2,4,12/ 1,2,4,6,9,12/ 1,3,4,6,8/ 1,2,3,4,11. $50
gets you 8.32%
The Game Plan for
Cranbourne – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington) Tonight looks a good programme to try and find a little
value, so I’m going to nominate 1 value bet 3 roughies, a Money Race and some
Quads to help us make some folding.
The Money Race Race 5 The only question mark here is whether Majestic Reign (1) has the gate speed to either lead or at least
complete the re-take if she does get crossed early on. I’m actually banking on
the fact that she will be crossed by Fairest
One Youare (4) but then get the lead back from that mare pretty early on.
If they’re leader/behind leader that will be the end of the story but just in
case they’re not I’m also playing a saver. Here’s my plan.
Very simple thought process here. At his best this guy would
cross his rivals and find the front soon after the start and after narrowly
failing from the top end in a 1:57.6 mile rate last start I think the double
figures is juicy. He may not win but he’ll give you a run for your money and
with any sort of breather he’ll be very hard to beat.
Best Roughies ($50
the place on each)
Mor Laag (Race 4 no.
6) ($21) This guy was deemed a non-runner last start after being
interfered with at the start, but his run despite that interference was
sensational. A cursory glance at his five runs to date show he hasn’t had much
luck in his career so far and with the promise of some early speed here it
would not surprise at all to see him flashing home late at very big odds.
Sopranos Fury (Race 5
no. 8) ($26) This bloke thrives off a soft trip, as evidenced by his
silver medal behind Majorflex five back when behind the speed and his breakthrough
win two back when three back along the pegs. Put simply, he’ll be either behind
the lead or three pegs at worst here and given he’ll be following hot favourite
Majestic Reign (1) everywhere he
goes, then I’m more than willing to invest pretty heavily that he can run a
drum at odds.
Black And Yellow
(Race 7 no. 1) ($21)
Here is another case where a quality horse is likely to get
the soft run she needs to figure. This mare has not been far away in some
really strong form races of late, including a handy fourth behind Restrepo and
Charlie Machsheen at Melton. This also isn’t easy but if she can get no further
back than three back the poles at a track where the sprint lane is golden then
once again, the $21 looks great value for place-only players.

Really like the look of Races 3,4,6 and 8 from an exotics
point of view and think there is some decent coin to be made with the right
results. Below is how I’m playing with $50 spent on each race for a total
outlay of $200.
Race 3
Trifecta: 4,6/ 4,6/ 1,7. $17 gets you 425%
Trifecta: 4,6/ 1,7/ 4,6. $8 gets you 200%

First Four: 1,3,5/ 7/ 1,3,4,5/ Field. $8 gets you
22.22%
Race 6
Trifecta: 4,6/ 4,6/ 1,2,3,5,7. $17 gets you 170%
Trifecta: 4,6/ 2,5,7/ 4,6. $8 gets you 133.33%

First Four: 9/ 2,8/ 1,3,7/ 2,8. $20 gets you 333.33%
The Game Plans for
Geelong Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington) Money Races Race 4 The front line draw should ensure the very exciting Vanderley (6) gets the chocolates here.
Almost equally confident that Major
Calipso (10) will run second but have made a couple of provisions if he
only ends up third. Here’s how I’m playing for $100 outlay. Exacta 6 to beat 10 for $60. Trifecta 6/ 4/ 10 for $30. Trifecta 6/ 8/ 10 for $10. Race 7 This is a great betting race because two runners are head
& shoulders above their rivals and the third pick also seems far superior to
those beneath him. It would be a massive shock if Our Crime Of passion (5) & Metro
Mike (3) don’t fight this out with Narre
Boy (8) the only one likely to split them on the line. As a result I’m
playing two Trifectas for $100 outlay like this. 3,5/ 3,5,8/ 3,5,8. $60 gets 1500%. 3,5/ 3,5,8/ 1,6. $40 gets 500%.
Quaddies (x5)
6/ 1,2,6,9/ 6/ 3,5. $24 gets 300%. 6/ 1,2,6,9/ 1,2,4,8,10,11/ 3,5. $48 gets 200%. 6/ 1,2,6,9/ 7,9/ 3,5. $4 gets 50%. 10/ 1,2,6,9/ 6/ 3,5. $8 gets 100%. 10/ 1,2,6,9/ 1,2,4,8,10,11/ 3,5. $16 gets 33.3%. Bill Hutchison
(@Hutchysays) Best Bets Machin Out (Race 5
no. 6) ($3.20) He is in good form and may find the lead so in a tricky race
he looks the clear top pick. Metro Mike (Race 7
no. 3) ($2.20) He was terrific first up when doing all the work and
finishing off strongly in a 26.9-second final quarter for third behind Steam Washed
and Real Hammer a fortnight ago. This looks a two horse race between him and
Our Crime Of Passion and from the alley I think he will prevail. Best Value Look Here Bloke (Race
2 no. 6) ($7.50)
This guy would be a lot shorter on his good Melton fourth
last weekend but for the fact that he hasn’t won a race since September 2010.
His was a good effort last week and he appeals as the Each way value in a
skinny sort of race.
THE GAME PLAN for Echuca – with Michael Polster (@MickPolster)
The Money Races
Things look a little difficult in the early part of
tonight’s card but I think we can come home strongly with cash to be made in
Race’s 6,7 and 8. I’m attacking them via some trifectas and will be investing
$50 on each race for a total outlay of $150.
Race 6
11/ 2,4,8,9/ 2,3,4,5,8,9. $35 gets you 175%
2,4,8,9/ 11/ 2,3,4,5,8,9. $15 gets you 75%

The Game Plan for

Best Bet The Kingston Flyer
(Race 6 no. 11) ($3.50)
This guy has been is sensational form for a fair while now
and his strength and versatility should ensure that the second row draw does
not cruel his chances. Particularly as there are several quick beginners off
the front line, headed by Lombo Blu Blood who should certainly contribute to a quick
early tempo which will soften up those at the head of affairs.
Best Value Johnny Tee (Race 7
no. 10) ($9)
This bloke was in fine form before striking a super strong
race at Cranbourne last start. The second line draw won’t worry him wither as he’s
drawn outside a quick beginner and is often best coming with one run so have
something on him each way at what looks a juicy quote.

Playing a couple of Trifectas here and relying on the fact
the Flyin Fox (7) will be a shade
too good.
THE GAME PLAN for Wedderburn – with Michael Polster (@MickPolster)
Best Bets
Gee Mae (Race 3 no. 5) $1.60
Worked to the lead from the extreme barrier at Charlton last Monday and after running along at an even tempo he was nabbed in the last 50m by Truman to run third.
He drops back to the sprint trip today, looks the leader once more and he should get away with this.
Earl Harbour (Race 5 no. 2) $2.20
Won 3 of his past 4 in much easier company than what he meets today but he has been coming off big handicaps and will appreciate the front line draw.
He will either lead or sit close to the speed and will be nigh on impossible to get past thereafter.
Gangster Boy (Race 6 no. 10) $1.80
Will take plenty of holding out on this on the strength of his recent form, which includes strong Cobram and Swan Hill victories and a handy third to Hezfullarunning at Shepparton last time out. He will be injected into the contest early by Riley Fortin and is sure to take beating the way his is going at present.
Dual Agent Tabman (Race 7 no. 2) $2.20
Has snared the silver medal in the St. Arnaud and Gunbower Cup’s already this season and comes off two narrow defeats behind Pacific Soul and Tyler Bromac.
The pole draw is a little bit of a concern, as he is likely to be crossed, but with the right luck in running he should go very close.

This mare isn’t the most talented pacer engaged but for the third consecutive start she’ll be tucked away behind the leader (Ubringthedrinks) over the Melton mile and given she’s won both of her last two outings it’s hard to see why she won’t do the same again tonight. Back her straight out and take the Trifectas outlined in ‘The Money Race’ below.
The Money Race
Race 4
As mentioned above Ubringthedrinks (4) will almost certainly be in front here with Well Holly Dolly Dolly (1) strapped hard to his back in transit. They fought out the finish of a very similar race to this under similar circumstances a couple of weeks back so they should run one-two or one-three at very worst and probably comprise your best bets for the programme. See below for suggested Trifectas.
1,4/ 1,4/ 3,8,10,11,12. $70 gets 700%.

Superstar Express (Race 2 no. 4) ($13)
A brilliant beginner, this guy is odds upon to find the front soon after the start here and a recent perusal of Tabcorp Park results over the mile tells us that’s a super place to be. If they drop anchor at any stage he can win this.

Heza Trick (Race 6 no. 8) ($21/ $5) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet on this horse now
This bloke was on the cusp of something special last season and his recent form is not as bad as it looks. He was luckless in The Legends and the Cranbourne Cup and ran second to Smoken Up in between those runs. It’s hard to see him being worse than three pegs here at $20+ he’s worth an Each Way wager.
Saint Flash (Race 6 no. 11) ($23/$5.40) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet on this horse now
He is a stablemate of Heza Trick who was outclassed in last week’s brutally run Cranbourne Cup but his prior form includes a luckless run in The Legends, an outstanding Nyah Cup win over Bitobliss where he worked overtime in the run and still held on and a win on this track over Mustang Mach and co. He may be feeling the pinch but if anywhere near his best he’ll give this a shake at big odds.
Well Hello Dolly and Ubringthedrinks were very kind to me when they last met in a similar race to this a few weeks ago and they again look a great base for exotics.
My speed map has Ubringthedrinks in front, Well Hello Dolly trailing and The Ragpickers Dream three-back the pegs so I’m spending $100 on some First Fours.

Best Place Bet
The Ragpickers Dream (Race 4 no. 8)
As mentioned above, this guy is almost certain to be three-back on the pegs enjoying a cushy run and in a pegs-dominated affair he looks a big chance of filling a place at reasonable odds.

Alabama Skeeta (Race 5 no. 1) ($21/$3) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet on this horse now
This guy is a metropolitan maiden taking on the big boys for the first time but he has been awesome at his past two on this track and looks ready to take the step up.
He is only a moderate beginner and is likely to be shuffled back on the markers but if the right gaps appear in the straight he is not without a blowout chance.
Washakie (Race 7 no. 10) ($16/$3) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet on this horse now
The form around this guy is super as he handled last week’s Cranbourne Cup winner Terrorway in Group races in Qld before going on to win his fourth Treuer Memorial at Bankstown last start.
He has the back row draw to overcome, plus some quality opposition, but he is in career-best form and looks terrific each way value at the odds currently quoted.

Abettorpunt (Race 6 no. 9) ($7/$2.20) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet on this horse now
This bloke is perfectly drawn behind the early speed tonight and it was hard to miss his super run behind Bitobliss and Smoken Up when coming from nearly last and the only horse to make ground in The Legends at this course. He was topped off nicely with a tough win at globe Derby last time our and after three runs from a break he should be ready to produce his best.
Terrorway (Race 7 no. 2) ($8/$2.33) TAB Fixed Odds – Click here to bet on this horse now
I bet for value so favourites rarely come into my sight. As a result I’ve settled on this guy as the best betting option in the Victoria Cup. He is sure to get the run of the race from his favourable alley and was terrific in the Cranbourne Cup when making three runs but still a shade too good. That was his first run for six weeks so he should be even better tonight.

Billy The Brat (Race 9 no. 11) ($17)
This trotter has been having no luck but running on well in stands of late and while his record from the mobile isn’t flash the conditions of this race may take the sting out of some of his front row rivals so have something each way at the juicy quote tonight.
