Best Bet ($40 win)
Holdontoyourhorses (Race 2 No.5) $2.80
This guy has only had the two starts to date but he was very impressive on debut running second to Purplepeopleater when she was in good form. That was almost two years ago however connections have clearly persisted with him for a reason and he did win a Melton trial on May 27 so you’d suspect he is somewhere back near his best.
Best Value ($10 win x $15 place)
Samantha Sparkle (Race 3 No.2) $6This girl is never far away and has run top four in her previous five starts. She has some good early speed and drawn well she should be prominent throughout. While there is no doubt Lady Patti (7) is going to be hard to beat, she looks the only serious threat and she can be a bit hit and miss.
Stormy Lecture (Race 7 No.11) $26
This is
a race full of class but at the odds it’s hard to ignore this last start
winner. He did have the gun run but defeated a handy field at Echuca and even
though he is drawn 11, he comes into three off the second row with the
scratching so with some early luck he can find a position and he no doubt has
the talent to atleast run a place here.
Best Roughie ($20 place)
Union Ally (Race 4 No.9) $51This girl ran a slashing third in the Group 1 Home Grown Classic last time and although she was big odds there, she showed a nice turn of foot. Both Lovelist (6) and Starzzz Of Icon (8) will again be hard to toss however this girl is on an upward spiral and will be winning a race shortly.
The
Money Race
Race
5 ($40 worth of Flexi Trifecta’s)I’m pretty confident we can make some money off this race because essentially Attackamach (4) is fourth up, rock hard fit and likely a class above his rivals whilst still on the comeback trail. In saying that, Classy Guy (7) is a worthy adversary and I’d be shocked if the pair doesn’t run the quinella so with Jeans Mattjesty (2) the key trifecta hope, we are going to play the following combinations.
4/7/2. $15 gets 1500%
4/7/1,5,6,8. $8 gets 200%7/4/2. $10 gets 1000%
7/4/1,5,6,8. $7 gets 175%
