Good Form Preview - Wednesday @ Cobram

The Game Plan for Cobram – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)

Best Bets / All Up ($40)

Hes Magic Red (Race 4 No.3) $1.50

The reason we are banking on this fella today is through sheer consistency. He was unlucky last time when carrying a flat tyre and just nailed on the line but just four starts prior he won at Melton in 1:56.5 which is handy enough for this class. His two runs in between were serviceable in stronger grade so in the small field expect him to rifle forward and have an edge on his rivals.

Nevaeh (Race 7 No.1) $2.10

Cobram can be a pretty tricky track but over a mile with some early toe, this girl has drawn to perfection. Her last two seconds behind Lights And Music were in races no harder than this and given she can be relied upon to run her usual race, this looks hers to lose.

Best Value ($5 win x $20 place)

Hooper Road (Race 6 No.1) $15

I’m not sure if we will see the $15 here but I’m pretty confident this guy can run a place. His last start third behind Field Major showed he is getting back towards something like his best, and from the plumb draw he should enjoy a nice pegline run and be sprinting home at the end. With all of his major rivals including The Waratah (7) and Goezee (11) drawing poorly, he won’t be far away at the knock.

The Money Races

Race 3 ($41 worth of Flexi Trifecta’s)

While Tennaya (1) does look very hard to beat here, don’t discount a knockout blow from two roughies in Bayjah Star (5) and Chantel Loren (6). They are the three top chances for mine and with a little bit of value likely to be injected into this dividend, we can play a couple of savers with the chances off the back row to run into second or third.

Boxed 1,5,6. $21 gets 350%

1,5,6/1,5,6/9,11,13. $12 gets 66.67%

1,5,6/9,11,13/1,5,6. $8 gets 44.44%

Race 4 ($34 worth of Flexi TFirst Four’s)
As discussed, Hes Magic Red (3) is quite clearly the horse to roll however Shakchloe (1) has to be respected while Firm Believer (4) and Newgate (6) look the next best so our two first fours shape up as follows.

3/1/4,6/4,5,6. $24 gets 600%

3/4,6/1/4,5,6. $10 gets 166.67%

Quaddies (x3 worth $110)

1,8/1,7,8,10,11/1/3,7,10. $60 gets 200%

1,8/1,7,8,10,11/3,9,10,11/3,7,10. $30 gets 25%

3,4/1,7,8,10,11/1/3,7,10. $20 gets 66.67%
