The Game Plan for Maryborough –
with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets / All Up ($65)
Ideal Majority (Race 3 No.2) $2.20
Although
he was convincingly beaten last start that was by a star on the rise in Messini
and he held the rest of his rivals quite comfortably in the run home. Although
he is a three-year-old taking on the older pacers, he has won in this class
before and in an even field, he really does look the best on the program.
Znana (Race 5 No.5) $5
This
bet may be a little more speculative but this fella had a terrific time of it
last preparation, winning a handful of races in good style and in good company.
He has been tailed off in two of three efforts this time around and given I’m
writing them off as aberrations, I think on class alone, if he does show his
best he is quite clearly one of the three most talented horses in the race.
The
Money Race
Race
1 ($35 worth of Flexi Trifecta’s)
We all know how good Claudys Princess (2) is but the Illawong’s (Helios (1) and Moonshine (5))
aren’t far away so we will play the following trifecta’s to try and make an
early dollar.
2/1,5/1,5. $20 gets 1000%
2/1,5/6,7,8. $9 gets 150%
1,5/2/1,5,6,7,8. $6 gets 75%
Race
4 ($30 worth of Flexi Trifecta’s)
This does look a good race to attack
because I’m banking on Holmfield runner-up Guiltless
(4), Asdenro (6) and Drunken Maniac
(9) being the absolute class in the race however I think the minors could
be split wide open so we will take three trifectas, as outlined below, to try
and capitalise.
Boxed 4,6,9. $12 gets 200%
4,6,9/4,6,9/1,2,3,10,13. $10 gets
33.33%
4,6,9/1,2,3,10,13/4,6,9. $8 gets
26.66%
Quaddies
(x2 worth $100)
1,3,5,6,7/7,11/2,5,7/2,6,8,11.
$60 gets 50%
1,3,5,6,7/7,11/6,8,9,10,13/2,6,8,11
$40 gets 20%
