The Game Plan for Bendigo – with Blake Redden
(@BlakeRedden)
Best Bets / All Up Formula 3 ($70)
Kept Under Wraps (Race 2 No.2) $1.10
This guy might have got a little lost in the hyperbole that
surrounded a stunning APG win to stablemate Follow The Stars but don’t ignore
his run. He loomed into the race four-wide before finding momentary
trouble and then grinding to the line. He really is a star on the rise having
won his previous three starts and while it’s a serious task to take on the
older horses, brilliance should win the day.
Eljaykay Phoenix (Race 4 No.10) $1.20
Since narrowly being defeated on debut, this guy has
dominated his juvenile rivals with three impressive victories. He has run four
sub-30sec quarters in the last half in those wins and that’s no mean feat for a
baby trotter so while he must take on a couple of handy types, he really does
look the horse to beat.
Meadow Valley Road (Race 10 No.1) $1.80
This girl has been simply terrific since joining the Aiken
stable. Two runs have seen her set a handy clip in front and just keep kicking
to be beaten narrowly in each. This is a nice little class drop and while there
are a couple of unknowns in the race, class should carry her along way to
finish off our all-up wager.
Next Best ($20 win)
Kains Boy (Race 1 No.11) $2.60
It’s an early start for Good Form punters but in a race of
probably only two chances, I’m sticking with the inform Kains Boy (11).
He has transformed in recent starts from a occasional placegetter to winning
machine. His form to defeat I Dreamt It two starts ago, followed by a last
start defeat at the hands of Lord Liam is more than enough for this sort of
race.
Born Again Sassy (Race 7 No.6) $8
This girl hasn’t hit the board for the Stewart camp yet but
her form is better than it reads. She was pretty good behind Baby Bling in the
Angelique Club Cup three starts back and not much has gone her way since. She
does have good gate speed at her absolute best but even if she elects not to
use it, she is a massive hope tonight.
The Money Race
Race 8 ($41 worth of Flexi First Four’s)
Lights And Music (1) is
in rare form at the minute and he is one of three key winning hopes in this
along with Uroc Mman (6) and the talented Cardon Merger (8) I’m
banking on them to run the trifecta but we will make a couple of provisions in
case they only fill two of the three holes.
