Good Form Preview - Monday @ Hamilton

The Game Plan for Hamilton – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
We’ve only got the seven races to play w/ @ Hamilton today but they are all handy betting races in their own right. Having said that, five of the seven races are PBD affairs so I’m going to target just two Money Races, plus a Best Roughie, three Quads and a Black Booker from last week’s Vicbred Super Series heats as a way to make some coin.

The Money Races
Race 1
The two best horses here, in Cheesy Grin (6) & Dam Lucky (9) are both first-up from a break here but that should not stop them dominating the race. I think there’s a massive chance they’ll draw away to fight out the finish and if they don’t it’s more than likely that early leader Public Persuasion (3) will come between them so play the three Tricks below w/ that philosophy in mind.

6,9/ 6,9/ 3. $20 gets 1000%
6,9/ 3/ 6,9. $10 gets 500%
6,9/ 6,9/ 1,2,4. $20 gets 333.33%

Race 2
This looks a super betting race given we can almost pinpoint the fact that Soho Jolie (1) will be in front, Mayorofshinetown (8) will be behind her and the only other chances, apart from Cool Carat (10) will be handy in the run. I’m confident that if everything goes to plan Mayorofshinetown (8) will be a shade too god, but I’m willing to have one saver in case he gets strung up from the draw.

8/ 1,2,5,10/ 1,2,5,10. $26 gets 216.67%.
2,5/ 1,2,5,8,10/ 1,2,5,8,10. $24 gets 100%

Best Value/Roughie
Blissfull Spanker (Race 7 no. 2) $15 ($25 Each Way)
The key for this bloke here today is that he’s an 80% chance of finding the pegs first and a better than even money hope of holding the top for as long as he likes in the run. The last time he found the front in a race he led all the way, beating Shesallyank and Overthorns. He would also have paced a 1:57 mile despite being comfortably beaten at Melton last time out and while I don’t consider him any good thing, if he opens @ a double figure quote, he’s well worth a decent Each Way wager.

Quaddies
1,2,3,6/ 7/ 12/ 2,4,8,9. $36 gets 225%
1,2,3,6/ 6,8,10/ 12/ 2,4,8,9. $24 gets 50%
1,2,3,6/ 7/ 2,7,8,10,11/ 2,4,8,9. $40 gets 50%

Black Booker (Racing Today)
Lombo Scrutinizer (Race 3 no. 7) $2.50
This bloke has been in terrific form for quite some time but he took it to the next level last start when working overtime in a Vicbred Super Series heat and only narrowly going under to the very smart Tendaho. He has the 30m handicap to contend w/ today but a safe getaway and repeat performance would see him almost impossible to hold out. Click here to view his most recent run.
