In search of the hat trick tonight after dominant victories at Mildura at his past two where he has led comfortably and proved too slick for his rivals. He will find this slightly harder but will be running the gate looking for the lead and will be nigh on impossible to run down should he get it.

Value Bet

Amazing Kano (Race 5 no. 9) $4

Wasn’t a factor first up from a spell at Ararat just over two weeks ago when down the track behind Barkers Hall but he has since won a Melton trial in fine style. He gets into this well with the claim for Zac Phillips and if he brings his form from last season here tonight he will take beating.

I’ve isolated three races tonight where we can play pretty hard with the exotics and I’d be very surprised if they don’t turn out to be very fruitful. Below is how I’m playing with $100 spend on each race for a total outlay of $300.  A little expensive I know but I’m confident it will be all worth it.

Impressed first up from a break at Kilmore last week by sustaining a long run from the bell to run away from her rivals in slippery final fractions. She has the wide alley to overcome tonight along with some quality opposition but with the right luck in running she is sure to be a threat. Click here to view the run.

STAR TRIALLERS - (Racing Tonight)

Kyvalley Castle (Race 3 no. 3) $1.60

Didn’t do a great deal on debut at Bendigo behind Bohemian Queen back in early July but he has won his past two trials at Shepparton and looks ready to roll first up.

Amazing Kano (Race 5 no. 9) $4

Franco Taima (Race 7 no. 11) $4

Looked impressive in three wins back in April/May and resumes from a spell tonight off the back of a Melton trial success 9 days ago so he should be dangerous first up. Click here to see his trial.

Made a meal of the start before being sent around to the lead by Nathan Jack and she never looked in doubt thereafter to record a soft victory. She will be ODM now for a couple of runs courtesy of that indiscretion but can still be followed with confidence and will be winning plenty of races this campaign. Click here to view the run.
