THE GAME PLAN for Maryborough – with Michael
Polster (@MickPolster)
The Money Race
Really keen on Truman to get the cash first up from a break
in Race 2 with Jungleface Jake and Chief Destroyer almost certain to fill the
placings behind him. Below is how I’m playing with $100 total spend. There
won’t be thousands on offer but we should show a nice profit if all goes to
plan.

7.81%
Sunrise Panorama (Race 5 no. 10) $9
Had no luck in the early stages and had to be snagged back
to last before being unleashed late for an excellent fourth to Flash Of Freedom
at Bendigo last start. He takes on the smart Tyler Bromac today and is giving him a
10m head start but he has a liking for these conditions and looks a good gamble
on a 1 x 3 basis. Click here to view the run.
STAR TRIALLERS – (Racing Today)
Truman (Race 2 no. 4) $1.80
Competed at Australian Pacing Gold level last season and resumes
today off the back of a trial second to Our Missionary Man (winner first up) at
Ballarat earlier this month. He has the barrier draw advantage over his two main rivals,
looks like getting an easy lead and from there he is sure to be extremely hard
to run down fresh.
BLACK BOOKERS – (Ballarat last night)
Restrepo
Only enhanced his reputation as the next big thing in
harness racing with a stunning first up victory at Ballarat last night where he
ran a virtually unheard of final split of 25.9. Gavin Lang never let him go, so it’s scary to think what he
may have run had he been given his head and it’s going to be a joy watching him
rush through the grades this campaign.
American Muscle
Bounced to the lead as expected and after securing a lovely
run at the head of affairs he slipped home in a very snappy 27.2 to win with
plenty of authority. His win was overshadowed a bit by Restrepo’s amazing
performance in the previous race but he is a quality horse who will be winning
a metro race at Melton this time in.
