The Game Plan for Ballarat

Trifecta Fest
Similar to last night at Kilmore there are a few
short-priced favourites in the second half of tonight’s program and I think the
best way to earn some cash is by taking some Trifectas. Here’s how I suggest
you play with $50 spent on each race for a total spend of $150. If
everything goes to plan we should show a tidy profit by the end of the night.
Race 4
1/ 2/ 3. $50 gets you 5000%
Race 5
5/ 1,2,7/ 1,2,3,4,7,8. $37.50 gets you 250%
1,2,7/ 5/ 1,2,3,4,7,8. $12.50 gets you 83.33%
Race 6
3/ 6,9,10/ 1,4,5,6,9,10. $37.50 gets you 250%
6,9,10/ 3/ 1,4,5,6,9,10. $12.50 gets you 83.33%
Quaddies (x4)
1/ 5/ 3/ 1,2,5,8,10. $30 gets you 600%
1/ 5/ 6,9,10/ 1,2,5,8,10. $30 gets you 200%
1/ 1,2,7/ 3/ 1,2,5,8,10. $20 gets you 133.33%
1/ 1,2,7/ 6,9,10/ 1,2,5,8,10. $20 gets you 44.44%

Race 2
This looks a two-horse race with Prosperous Lombo (2) likely
to find the front and class runner Fearless Leader (10) set to make his presence felt late. I reckon they’ll run one-two but I’m playing it safe w/ a couple of savers just in case.
2,10/ 2,10/ 1,3,5,6,7,8,9. $72 gets 514.29%.
2,10/ 1,3,5,6,7,8,9/ 2,10. $28 gets 200%.
Race 6
Pretty keen on Lively Operative here but do concede
that Dee Millane has a heap in his favour (great barn, consistent
record, home track) so happy to suggest they’ll dominate the race together –
probably from the head of affairs. Wary of Kurahaupo Quin & Gurkha
in particular though so playing two ways as outlined below.
3,6/ 3,6/ 4,5,9,10. $80 gets 1000%.
3,6/ 4,5,9,10/ 3,6. $20 gets 250%.

Race 4
No secret that Restrepo & Charlie Machsheen are
among Victoria’s best 4YO pacers or that they’ll dominate this race but how we
make money from it is another story altogether. I don’t think there’s much
between the two but concede that Restrepo is likely to win. Either Livia
Degerolstein (3 pegs) or Dream Verdict (3rd best horse)
should run third but anything can run 4th so playing like this.
1/ 2/ 3,6/ Field. $76 gets 1266.66%.
2/ 1/ 3,6/ Field. $24 gets 400%.
Quaddies (x2)
1/ 1,5,7/ 3,6/ 2. $30 gets 500%.
2/ 1,5,7/ 3,6/ 2. $10 gets 166.66%.
1/ 1,5,7/ 3,6/ 1,5,8,10. $48 gets 200%.
2/ 1,5,7/ 3,6/ 1,5,8,10. $12 gets 50%.
Restrepo (Race 4 no. 1) ($1.30)
He is a boom Emma Stewart-trained 4YO who is first up from a
lengthy spell tonight and looks primed for a kill going on his dominant trial
win on this track earlier this month. He beat the best around as a 3YO before
injury halted his campaign and will be winning much better races than what he
contests tonight if he stays sound.
Dutch Harbour (Race 7 no. 10) ($3.20)
He is another handy type resuming for Emma Stewart tonight
who looks ready to run a race going on his handy trial on this circuit 18 days
ago behind the talented Manwarra Makamile. He doesn’t draw the best and will
more than likely have to do the work solo over the concluding stages but is
capable of overcoming that obstacle.
BLACK BOOKERS – (Racing Tonight)
Rodrigo (Race 5 no. 7)
This
bloke was near enough to last on at the 400m mark on a day where leaders
dominated last start and if not for being held-up looking for runs he would
have finished within a few metres of St Arnaud Pacing Cup winner Buriton
Bailey. He’s a very talented horse who meets a good field tonight but can be
dangerous if they roll in the early stages. Click here to view the run.
BLACK BOOKERS – (Kilmore last night)
Thunder Fee
This girl resumed from a break with a bang last night where
she travelled wide the last circuit before running away from her rivals in the
stretch in a slippery last half. She didn’t beat much last night but looked
very impressive and with natural improvement she will be winning her share of
races this campaign. Click here to view the run.
Charlotte Two
She
has been in fine form for Craig Turnbull since crossing the Tasman and she put
in another gutsy effort last night when second to the classy Western Rockstar.
She added another string to her bow last night by beginning well from the stand
and no matter what she contests next she is sure to take beating. Click here to view the run.
