Good Form Preview - Tuesday Night at Cranbourne

THE GAME PLAN for Cranbourne – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

Best Bets/All Up
I think there are 4 good things on tonight’s program (outlined below) and I’m going to back them all straight out plus take an all up as well just to add some icing on the cake.  By my calculations we should get back around $4 back for every $1 we invest.  Get to it!

Getya Wings Out (Race 1 no. 3) $1.40
Competed with distinction against some top class fillies last season and she resumes from a break tonight off the back of a Melton trial success last Tuesday where she slipped home in 28.3.  She draws to have a crack for the lead and this looks a great race for her to kick off her 3YO campaign. uHu

Hugh (Race 2 no. 1) $1.70
He has been placed in all three of his runs this time in behind Ponder In Paris, Sporty Mac and Hayes And Kydd and with those solid efforts under his belt he will be at the peak of his powers.  He draws to either lead or sit behind the speed and I think he will be a shade too good.

Flaming Flutter (Race 7 no. 2) $1.40
Richly talented 3YO who has had a little set back since finishing third to Lennytheshark in a heat of the Victoria Derby at Melton back in late January but he must be ready to go again otherwise Geoff Webster wouldn’t be risking him.  He is racing well out of his class tonight but he draws to advantage and he should get the job done.

Illawong Geraldine (Race 8 no. 5) $1.40
Smart mare who ran a terrific race behind Charlie Machsheen at Melton last Friday night in a heat of an M0 series when second in 1:53.6 and she is sure to relish the drop back in grade tonight.  There is every chance she will run straight to the lead here and it should be a case of times and margins thereafter.

Quaddie
1,2,7/ 1,2,6,8,10/ 2,3,5,12/ 2.  $100 gets you 166.66%

STAR TRIALLERS

Get Ya Wings Out (Race 1 no. 3) $1.40
She was one of our better fillies last season, winning 4 of her 10 outings she wound out her 2YO term by running a handy fifth to Glenferrie Shuffle in the Breeders Crown Final at Melton.  She comes off a trial victory at Melton last week where she only rated 2:03.4 but did it comfortably and tonight’s race looks a great one for her to kick off her 3YO campaign.

Our Crime Of Passion (Race 5 no. 10) $4.50
She has been a great money-spinner for her connections, winning 10 of 13 since crossing the Tasman and she resumes from a spell tonight off the back of a slashing trial success at Melton last week where she rated 1:57.8 and slipped home in 27.4.  She looks primed for a big first up run and will be hard to hold out, poor draw and all.

Lycoming Racer (Race 6 no. 5) $2.50
This guy is a newcomer to the Lance Justice stable and he looks ready to run a big race for the new barn after trialling nicely at Melton last week when second to the smart Inky Cullen (easy Terang winner yesterday) in reasonable time.  He has plenty of gate speed; looks like getting to the pegs first and from there expect this bloke to take stitching.
