Good Form Preview - Tuesday Night at Cranbourne

THE GAME PLAN for Cranbourne – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

All up

There will be some short-priced favourites on tonight’s program and rather than playing the multiples where there may not be too much value I’ve come up with a 5-leg all up instead.  Below is a list of runners I’m keen on to either win, place or run the quinella and I’m going to invest $200, which by my calculations/estimates should return a profit of around $700.

Mister Clooney (Race 1 no. 7)                                  Approx. odds $1.10   TO WIN
El Sabio (Race 2 no. 9)                                               Approx. odds $1.60   TO WIN
Supaliner (Race 6 no. 3)                                            Approx. odds $1.20   TO PLACE
Atomic Horizon (Race 7 no. 9)                                  Approx. odds $1.50   TO PLACE
Captain Scott & Hereux Homme (Race 8 no’s 6 & 7) Approx. odds $1.50            QUINELLA

The Money Race

Race 8
This looks a classic two-horse race with Captain Scott and Hereux Homme looking much better than their rivals with No Harmony a clear 3rd pick so I’m going to hammer that straight trifecta and take another with a few different runners to fill third for less.  Below is how I’m playing for $200 total spend.

7/ 6/ 4.  $100 gets you 10000%
7/ 6/ 3,5,9.  $100 gets you 3333.33%

Quaddies x4 $100 outlay
1,6,7,8,9/ 3,8,9,10/ 3/ 5,9.  $25 gets you 62.5%
1,6,7,8,9/ 3,8,9,10/ 3/ 3,4,6.  $19 gets you 31.66%
1,6,7,8,9/ 3,8,9,10/ 5,8,11,12/ 5,9.  $32 gets you 20%
1,6,7,8,9/ 3,8,9,10/ 5,8,11,12/ 3,4,6.  $24 gets you 10%

STAR TRIALLERS

Big Timer Lombo (Race 6 no. 11) $5
Jayne Davies trainee who resumes from a break tonight off the back of an easy trial success on this circuit 17 days ago where he slipped home in 28.3 and although drawn poorly first up he is not without a chance at knocking off Supaliner.

We Never Say Die (Race 7 no. 5) $2.80
Joins Jodi Quinlan after winning 6 of his 21 starts last season for Tony Peacock and he looks ready to roll tonight after trialling well at Geelong just over two weeks ago when second to handy mare Tara Toplady in solid time.  He begins quickly, looks the leader and is sure to take running down first up.
