This guy was having his first run for Emma Stewart and after being fractious in the score up he galloped away, lost considerable ground before tacking on and sprouting wings out wide on the course to run an eye-catching fourth to Shakti Bromac.  He had trialled well prior to that performance and will be breaking his maiden very soon with better manners.

Illawong Sister Styx

Resumed from a break last night and produced an encouraging effort when third to Our Flash Of Fire where she charged home from near last on the turn in slick closing fractions.  She will get beaten more than she wins because of her racing style but she is potent when things go her way and is sure to be winning her share of races this campaign with the right luck.
