Good Form Preview - Sunday Session at Kilmore

THE GAME PLAN for Kilmore – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

Best Bets

Ohyeah Lifegoeson (Race 2 no. 8) $2.10
Comes off a C0 series where he ran home well off cover first up from a break in his heat at Charlton when third to Future Operator before getting into trouble in the final at Ballarat and ending up out the back behind Narree Belle.  He will find tonight’s assignment much easier and should be too good with ordinary luck in running.

Chiquita Bromac (Race 4 no. 9) $2.20
She looks really well placed tonight as she is a 3-time winning mare taking on mostly maidens and her form of late has been excellent in much stronger races than what she contests here.  She is no star and will more than likely have to do the work in the run but she appears to have more ability than her rivals and should get the cash.

Narree Belle (Race 7 no. 2) $2.50
This mare shows plenty of promise and tonight she is aiming up for her third career victory at only her fifth outing.  She beat Future Operator (winner since) at Ballarat two back and was close to a good thing licked at Warragul last time when flashing home for second to Atomic Horizon when held up for a run.  She steps up in distance, which is a little query, but there doesn’t appear to be too much pressure in the affair and if Greg Sugars can steal a cheap quarter at the head of affairs I think she’ll be too slick for them over the concluding stages.

1,5,8/ 2,5,6,10/ 1,2,4,7,8,9,10,11/ 5,9.  $15 gets you 7.81%

STAR TRIALLERS

Rocky Carrington (Race 6 no. 2) $3
This guy showed some ability in 4 starts last season and he resumes tonight off the back of two recent trial victories at Bendigo and Maryborough so he looks primed to run a big race first up.  He draws to advantage and should run well in what is a tricky race.

The Nine Mile (Race 6 no. 10) $13
Former South Australian colt now with Rosemarie Weidenbach for whom he trialled nicely for at Melton last Monday night when second to the smart filly Glenferrie Shuffle where he worked home well after enjoying a cheap run on the pegs.  The draw isn’t ideal but if you’re looking to back one at odds in a wide race he may be the one.

BLACK BOOKERS (Terang Last Night)

It Is Billy
Drew awkwardly and ended up being shuffled back to last when the pace started to go on up front but once he got balanced up in the straight he really hit the line hard to finish an eye-catching third to Ballochbuie.  That was a heat of the Tontine and there will be some smart customers in the upcoming final but he is not without a chance if things go his way.

Illawong Magic
This guy has been in fine form since being taken over by Ross Sugars and came through his first real taste of the big time last night in flying colours when a tough second to Earl Harbour after doing all of the work in the breeze.  Whether he contests another Country Cup or heads to Melton for a metropolitan race for his next assignment he is sure to take beating.

National Service
This guy is a genuine sit-sprinter who has been going great guns of late for Grant Campbell and he indicated another win is just around the corner with a slashing fourth to Keayang Cullen in the Terang Cup where he was held up momentarily in the straight before sprouting wings over the last 50m.  He requires the right luck in his races to be at his most potent but there is no doubting his finishing ability and watch out for him when he starts next.
