For those who don’t mind taking the short odds this guy does look like a put in, take out job.  He was most impressive winning at Yarra Valley on debut 10 days ago where he moved up three-wide at the bell, put his rivals to the sword rounding the turn and ran away in the straight to win with plenty in reserve.  He won’t find today’s assignment any harder and should continue on his winning way.

Fairest One Youare (Race 7 no. 4) $2.70

This mare is winless in five tries this time in but she looks ready to strike now after snaring the silver medal at her past two behind handy types Nats Survival and Bettor Believe It, both of whom would make light work of this field.  Radiant River will be her main danger but he is a big chance of being headed off at the start by the speedy beginner Our Ponzi, which will give our tip a distinct advantage, and I think a winning one.

Spot Nine (Race 6 no. 1) $5

The fact that there is only a field of 7 here and there won’t be a third dividend hurts a bit but I still think this fellow is worth a crack each way on a 1 x 3 basis.  He had a tough trip at Melton last Saturday night when down the track behind Im Corzin Terror but he did run a nice race here prior when an 8m fourth to the flying American Muscle and from the pole draw in a much more suitable affair he should run well.

On a program that looks a bit tricky for those wanting to take the exotics I think this race is by far the best one to target.  Tyler Bromac is a smart type resuming from a short spell today and he is definitely the one to beat with Stephs Caesar and Flash Of Freedom his only dangers so I’m going to play the below EXACTAS with the trio for $100 total spend.
