I normally love betting @ Terang but I have to admit that tonight’s meeting is a very tough one on which to find winners. Most races are $4 or $5 the field but I have found one Best Bet, one Best Value bet, a Money race and some Quads and given our very tidy profit yesterday, I’m hoping we can add a little to the kitty here before the double-headers kick in tomorrow.

Best Bet ($50 Win)

Classy Guy (Race 4 no. 6) $2.20
I will be absolutely thrilled if we get better than even money about this bloke because he has a hell of a lot in his favour here tonight. The key factors which should assist him in breaking through here are the short course trip, over which he has an outstanding record, the front line draw, which will allow his to use his stunning gate speed, and the presence of Tipperary Seelster (5) who should be first to the pegs and ensure there is a horse between this bloke and his main danger Cobargo Jack (1) in the run. So, in summary, he should lead and win if anywhere near his best.

Best Value ($25 Each Way)

Roman Way (Race 1 no. 7) $5
The wide draw is an obstacle for this bloke but he has actually been racing in really good form and can either go back or forward and still figure late tonight. His versatility can in fact be seen in his excellent effort over this track and distance four starts back when coming from nearly last to be beaten less than 3m in a slightly better race than this before leading them around and going down by 4m in a 1:56 mile at Hamilton last time out. Smash this bloke Each Way & he shouldn’t let you down.

The Money Race – Race 4

As has already been mentioned, I’m very keen on Classy Guy (6) winning this race and reckon Cobargo Jack (1) is the obvious danger with Garabaldi Union (4) & Tipperary Seelster (5) the other key players. I’m having a few cracks here as it’s our only exotic of the night.
