Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Bray

The Game Plan for Ballarat – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Tonight’s Ballarat programme is tricky to say the least with five PBD races and even fields right throughout the card, but even so I’m confident there’s four horses who should be winning, and I’ll bank on three of them to do just that plus one golden Money Race and some wide old Quads where the dividend may be huge.

Best Bets/Formula 3

Ive only marked 1 of the 4 Best Best below in red figures so you can back them all individually or do what I’m doing, which is to throw them all into a Formula 3 where we need three of the four to get up if we’re to collect a profit.  $50 will get you 12.5 units.

Magnificent Art (Race 2 no. 2) $1.50

This guy’s always had a stack of ability and his past two wins have been a great indication that he’s either back to his best or better than he ever was. Add the favourable draw into the mix and it’s very hard to see him getting rolled.

Annacondar (Race 4 no. 6) $2.50

This bloke is unbeaten from two starts for the flying Ross Sugars stable and while the jury is out on just how good he is, this looks a very winnable race, particularly as he should lead or breeze and dictate the tempo with is major danger  Faraway Man (8) strung up along the inside in transit.

Sterlish (Race 7 no. 9)

In many ways, he is the riskiest of out four Best Bets due to the poor draw and sprint trip but it’s also likely to be our most profitable. Put simply he is travelling better than his rivals and w/ any sort of luck he’ll swamp them @ the knock.

Five O Clock Affair (Race 8 no. 6)

Claimers are always tricky affairs but this guy has his hoof on the till following back-to-back silver medals, comes from an excellent camp and should also be winning if everything goes to plan.

The Money Race – Race 2

As mentioned earlier I’m very keen on Magnificent Art (2) and I’ve also got respect for Kiwi invader Hilltop Hustler (3) and handy duo Armbro Higgens (4) & One Wise Man (10) in the same race. Base your First 4’s around that quartet dominating proceedings tonight.

2/ 3,4,10/ 3,4,10/ 1,3,4,7,8,9,10. $40 gets 133.33%

2/ 3,4,10/ 1,7/ 1,3,4,7,8,9,10. $10 gets 33.33%

Quaddies

6/ 1,3,5,6,11/ 5/ 4,7,8,9,11. $37.50 gets 150%

6/ 1,3,5,6,11/ 1,2,6,7,8,9,10,12/ 4,7,8,9,11. $50 gets 25%

4,8/ 1,3,5,6,11/ 5/ 4,7,8,9,11. $12.50 gets 25%
