Ymbro Toto (Race 4 no. 3)
$1.80
Was
placed in the Australian Oaks last preparation behind Shake It Mama and has
been primed for this with three recent trials, the latest of those a Warragul triumph
8 days back. She has a bit of pace drawn
to her inside and might have to do a little work in the early stages but if
Jodi Quinlan can give her a reasonable trip thereafter I think she’ll be too
good first up.
Best Value Bet
Washmepockets (Race 7 no.
11) $4
He
missed away from the stand at Cobram in the Cup two back when a massive third
to Choise Achiever and his latest run at Melton behind Mah Sish was a ripper as
he parked out and held his own in the straight for a close up third. The form from that race has been franked with
Mah Sish going on to run a cracking second in last night’s Bendigo Cup behind
Sushi Sushi and if this bloke goes away safely today he will be extremely tough
to beat.

BLACK BOOKER – (Racing Today)
Washmepockets (Race 7 no. 11) $4
Produced one of the biggest
runs ever seen at Country Cups level in the Cobram Cup two back when third to
Choise Achiever after missing away from the stand and then he followed that up
with a gallant third to Mah Sish at Melton 9 days ago where he punched the
breeze and kept coming at the end of a 54.7 final half. The little fellow is absolutely flying at
present and just needs to go away with them to be mighty hard to beat. Click

STAR TRIALLERS
Bazzas Art (Race 2 no. 2) $3
Mixed it with some handy ones
towards the end of last season and resumes today off the back of an easy
Bendigo trial success last week where he finished off in 58.8. He draws well, has the gate speed to make a
play for the lead and should take beating first up.
Ymbro Toto (Race 4 no. 3) $1.80
Quality mare who raced with
distinction in strong company last campaign and she should be ready to rock and
roll today after three trials the past month or so, the latest a Warragul
victory 8 days ago over talented stable mate Ymbro Awesome. She draws to advantage and will is the
testing material fresh.
Whata Punt (Race 6 no. 12) $5
The extreme draw over the
short course is a tough ask for him first up, plus he has to get past Western
Rockstar, but he is unbeaten for Matt Craven and looks ready to go after trial
wins at Terang and Melton recently, the latter in good time by a big
space.
BLACK BOOKERS (Bendigo Last Night)
Sterlish
Beau Tindale has this guy
going really well at the moment and he looks destined to breakthrough in the
not too distant future going on his excellent second to Kotare Roland last
night where he tried hard in fast final fractions. Click
here to view the run.
Mah Sish
His run last night in the Cup
was a beauty as he worked his way to the breeze shortly after the start and
went down fighting behind Sushi Sushi at the end of a 54.7 final half. He will no doubt be aimed at races like the
Ballarat Cup and Hunter Cup in the coming weeks and is sure to be a force the
way he is going at present. Click
here to view the run.
