After a small profit yesterday where the Quad paid less than half of what an all-up on the four leg winners would have yielded we have flown right into the lion’s den tonight! There’s no sugar coating the fact that this is a terribly tough betting card but we’re punters, so we will punt! All-in-all race seven looks a nice opportunity to snare some exotic cash while much of our night will also depend upon Hotasel claiming race five

Houdinisoutagain (Race 1 no. 10) $3.50

There are a couple here that are ticking along OK including Herald Sun favourite Roustabout Ronnie (9) but the fact that our top tip has won 9 career races while all his rivals combined have won just 4 is crucial and even from the awful draw I expect he’ll prove a shade too good.

Hotasel (Race 5 no. 2) $2.40

This bloke’s first-up win was absolutely effortless and while he steps up in grade tonight, he’s a horse who’s always shown great ability and from the tidy draw here he’ll either secure the mid-race lead or sit handy and out-sprint them in the lane.

The Money Race – Race 7 (Flexi Trifectas for $50)

I really like this race because there are just four key players and if we play our cards right we should make something decent out of the race.
