Tonight’s program at
Cranbourne is a terrific opportunity to punt up and make some cash. I think we
can single out a very strong best bet at backable odds in a two horse race, but
there is also some value to be had later in the program and we can finish off
with a dual-attack on the Quaddie.
Best Bet ($70 win)
Jean Baptiste (Race 4
No.7) $1.90
This guy has been in a couple of really strong races of
recent times and although he has to take on the promising Musical Delight (5) I think he has a touch of class that can get
him over the line first. He is yet to miss a place in five Australian runs and I
suspect he will be on the way to Tabcorp Park if he can notch up another win
because he has the scope to keep improving.
Best Roughie ($5 win
x $25 place)
Paintball (Race 7
No.1) $17
It’s hard not to love this mare and from the pole tonight I think
she is some sort of sneaky chance. We won’t be going crazy on her but she has
the necessary speed to hold the lead or at worst be behind the leader so if we get around the $17 in a very tough
race, I think she can lob a place and send us home pretty happy.
The Money Race ($50 Flexi
First 4’s)
Race 2
Race 2
As a betting proposition this looks a great race to be
involved with, There are limited trifecta chances so we will play the short-priced
favourite (and likely winner) Glenferrie
EJ (3) to win in most of our first fours with Flyin Indi Air (2) the key knockout hope. To finish off we will
play a wide first 4 just to make sure we cover all basis but I think we can make
a profit on the below bets.
3/2/1/4,7. $15 gets 750%
2/3/1/4,7. $8 gets 400%
3/2/4,7/1. $10 gets 500%
3/1,2,4,7/1,2,4,7/1,2,4,7. $17 gets 70.83%
Quaddie (x2)
5,7/2,4,5,6,8/3,6,8/1,3,9,10. $60 gets 50%
5,7/2,4,5,6,8/1,2,4,5,10/1,3,9,10. $40 gets 20%
