Good Form Swan Hill - Nyah Pacing Cup

THE GAME PLAN for Swan Hill – with Michael Polster

Best Bets

Lombo Cloud Nine (Race 4 no. 5)

Top class mare who is aiming up for five on the bounce tonight after dominant wins at Maryborough (x3) and Horsham in the past 6 weeks.

She has a devastating turn of speed when given the right trip and would only need to get a decent run off the pace to blow her rivals away.

Bitobliss (Race 7 no. 13)

Star 6YO who resumed from an injury-enforced spell at Melton 8 days ago with a superb triumph in the Pegasus Club Cup where he finished off in 56.5.

He will be sharper, has an excellent standing start record (Kilmore Cup winner last season) and should be too good second up with ordinary luck.

Gangster Boy (Race 9 no. 4)

Followed a hat trick of victories with a solid third to Mister Bubbles at Shepparton last time where things didn’t really go to plan for him from the inside alley.

He is beautifully-placed tonight with the claim for Riley Fortin, who handles him well, and this talented 4YO looks set for a return to the winners list.

Best Value Bet

Guvs Boy (Race 2 no. 10)

This guy burnt the fuse at both ends at Kilmore last start where he was taken on early in a 28.6 opening stanza but still threw down a 29.3 final split at his rivals to win well.

He is probably better driven sit-sprint and with some pace expected early watch for him to be hammering home at the business end.

Best Roughie

Allrightythen (Race 5 no. 5)

Missed away from the stand first up behind Ronald George at Bendigo last week but he had been trialling well prior and is much better suited tonight.

He has an imposing record over the short course, will be prominent in the run and is definitely worth a ticket each way at juicy odds.

Best Quinella

Saint Flash and Bitobliss (Race 7 no’s 2 and 13)

Saint Flash is as honest as the day is long, draws to advantage and has trialled well at Melton from the stand for his first crack at the caper with Bitobliss the class factor.

Quaddies (x2)

1,5,7,11/ 4,5,9,10,11/ 3,5,6,9,10,11/ 13.  $40 gets you 33.33%
1,5,7,11/ 4,5,9,10,11/ 3,5,6,9,10,11/ 1,2,4,6,8,9,11.  $60 gets you 7.14%

BLACK BOOKERS – (Racing Tonight)

Woke Up Tired (Race 3 no. 5)

Had no luck at all in her heat of this final at Charlton last Monday where she was incarcerated on the pegs before busting loose in the straight to run a slashing second to Cheveyo. She should be out in the open this time around and in a race of many chances she has as good a hope as any. Click here to view the run.

Just Sarge (Race 9 no. 10)

Was travelling beautifully in the one-by-one at Bendigo last week but Chris Alford just couldn’t get him out in the straight and he was most unlucky not to finish a lot closer to Island Rumba. His first up run behind Lombo Cloud Nine at Maryborough was excellent and has a rough hope tonight with better fortune. Click here to view the run.

Jaspers Cullen (Race 11 no. 5)

Ran a cracking race on debut the impressive Major Steppe at Ararat last Sunday where he sustained a long run from the rear to go down fighting. He will be better for the experience, draws the front row and has a great chance of going one better. Click here to view the run.

BLACK BOOKERS – Melton Friday Night

Sotiris

Ran a super race first up from a break where he ran the gate, ended up without cover for the last 800m and held on extremely well for second to the impressive Macha in a blistering last quarter of 27.1. He showed plenty of talent last season & will derive benefit from last night’s outing and is sure to win his share of races this campaign. Click here to view the run.

Dee Jay Jolie

Was forced to cut the breeze over the final circuit against some classy mares and she stuck on tenaciously for third to Lady Penrose in a slick last stanza of 26.8. She went 1:55.3 to win a similar race at Melton three back and will be winning again in that grade before too long. Click here to view the run.

Mister Grizzly

Ran the race of his life in the Markovina FFA where he made ground on Caribbean Blaster from the rear in a scintillating last half of 55.1 to be beaten just over 8m. He is better suited in the Claimers and will be winning once he gets back into that class. Click here to view the run.

STAR TRIALLERS – (Racing Tonight)

Our Dolly Would (Race 6 no. 3)

Talented mare who has looked really sharp at the trials; the latest a 40m success at Maryborough from behind the mobile where she rated 2:03.4 and finished off in 29.4. She faces a stern test first up but has an imposing record from behind the strands and is not without a hope at liberal odds fresh.

Caulonia Babe (Race 8 no. 2)

Won 5 of her 11 outings last season and looks ready to run a big race first up going on her easy trial wins at Mildura in recent weeks. She draws to have a crack for the lead, will more than likely get it, and in an open contest for the mares she should be mighty hard to mow down.
