Best Bet
With Gusto (Race 8 no 7)
He has always shown talent and with a slice of luck from the car park draw this bloke will be mighty hard to beat.
Best Quinella
Just Sarge and Island Rumba (Race 7 no’s 4 and 5)
Big chance of these two being leader/behind leader in the run and look almost certain to run the Quinella if that scenario plays out.
Best Trifectas

BLACK BOOKERS – Racing Tonight
Hezfullarunning (Race 1 no 4)
This guy has had his hoof on the till for a fair while and looked all over a winner last time out when surging to the front in the lane but breaking gate and being relegated to a sixth placed finish. He can make things hard on himself at times but this race suits and he should be breaking through. Click here to view his most recent run.
Indi Bapu (Race 7 no 3)
This bloke is very
talented and while he hadn’t fired in two runs back from a spell the writing
was certainly put on the wall when he charged home for third behind The
Midnight Reign and Conflict Of Interest last time out. This is a very even race
outside Island Rumba so he may be worth a wager on an Each Way basis tonight. Click
here to view his most recent run.
BLACK BOOKERS – Melton Friday Night
Blucolla Tigerpie
She resumed from a break in the Golden Wattle Cup last night
at Melton and after tracking home nicely three-wide she just failed to reel in
National Gallery in a slippery last half of 57.0.She will derive plenty of benefit from that outing and no matter where Mick Stanley decides to head with her next she can be followed with confidence. Click here to view the run.
Bitobliss
Was having his first run back from an injury-enforced spell at Melton last night and after moving around them early to park out he careered away from his rivals to win with consummate ease.
That run will do him the world of good and judging by what he did last night he will be a force in the major races this season. Click here to view the run.
STAR TRIALLERS – (Racing Tonight)
Easy Lightning (Race 2 no. 3)
Talented Ahmed Taiba-trained colt who won 2 from 11 in his freshman season and he limbered up for tonight’s assignment with a handy trial at Kilmore last Tuesday. He comes up with a nice barrier first up, looks a great chance of leading and from there his combatants will have difficulty mowing him down.
Tanabi Bromac (Race 4 no. 7)
Open class performer who hasn’t been seen since finishing down the track behind Excel Stride in 1:52.1 at Melton back in early August but he looked sharp winning a recent Bendigo trial where he finished off in 27.6. He has the 40m to overcome tonight but boasts an excellent standing start record, is clearly the class runner and will be mighty hard to topple fresh.

REVIEW
Not a bad night for those boxing up HRV form expert Michael
Polster’s selections at Melton with Trifectas of $193 (Race 3), $80 (Race 4),
$168 (Race 5) and $80 (Race 11), not to mention First 4’s of $369 (Race 3) and
$160 (Race 4). Followers of Polster’s Game Plan also had a reasonable night
with his best place bet Classic Icon running second at $3.50 and a handy return
on his suggested trifecta in Race 8. Jason Bonnington also elected Classic Icon as one of his
best roughies of the night as well as snaring profits on both of his suggested
Trifectas. Best bet Balance Point finished a close up second but still returned
a small profit for each way players.
