THE GAME PLAN for Horsham – with Jason Bonnington
Best Running Double/ All Up
Sotiris (Race 2 no. 6) & Off The Chain (Race 3 no. 7)
Everything points to it being a big day for Redan all
rounder Mick Stanley with these two talented pacers. Sotiris was first up from
a spell last start when not disgraced behind potential start Macha. He
beat the others pretty easily & should appreciate the drop in grade today
while Off The Chain has always had ability and should take care of his bottom
up CO with any luck at all. Based on their Herald Sun prices the pair will pay $5
for every $1 invested but they can also be taken as a straight out
Running Double.
Best Value
Endorsement (Race 4 no. 9)
This guy is no star but he has knuckled down really well
when asked late in his past couple of races and quite simply brings better form
than any other runner into the race. He was marked @ $4 in today’s Herald Sun
and is definitely worth a wager at anything like those odds.
Best Roughies
Majeur Le Crest & Whosgunnagetit (Race 6 no’s. 6
& 9)
Both these pacers have been marked at $13 in today’s Herald
Sun and both represent some chance of knocking off The Adriatic and co in Race
6 today. I advise backing each of these pacers on a 1 x 3 basis if their double
figure odds hold up with the TAB.
Macy Lila (Race 7 no. 3)
A lot will depend upon the start as she does have two quick
beginners drawn inside her but if this mare can find the front without spending
too much petrol today she is another fantastic 1 x 3 option at double figure
odds.
The Money Race - Trifectas
Race 3
7/ 5,11/ 2,4,5,6,11,12. $50 gets 500%.
7/ 2,4,6,12/ 2,4,5,6,11,12. $50 gets 250%.
Quads x 2
9/ 1,2,4,6,11/ 1,5,6,7,8/ 1,3,6,8. $50 gets 50%.
1,5/ 2,4,6,11/ 1,5,6,7,8/ 1,3,6,8. $50 gets 25%.
Black Booker (Racing Tonight)
Sotiris (Race 2 no. 6)
Ran a
super race first up from a break where he ran the gate, ended up without cover
for the last 800m and held on extremely well for second to the impressive Macha
in a blistering last quarter of 27.1. He showed plenty of talent last season
& will derive benefit from last night’s outing and is sure to win his share
of races this campaign. Click here to view the run.
Black
Bookers (Kilmore Cup Day)
Kasyanov
This
one-time Inter Dominion placegetter essentially cost himself around 25m by
breaking gait soon after the start in the Kilmore Trotters Cup and was only
beaten by that margin at the end of the marathon feature. Not only that but he
was left three wide and exposed for much of the final circuit in a run that had
to be seen to be believed. Click here to view the run.
Composed
This
guy has now run cracking races in each of Victoria’s first two Choice Hotels
Country Cups this term. Luckless and brilliant in fast closing numbers at Swan
Hill two starts back, he was interfered with by a galloping Saint Flash when
just about to make his run at Kilmore yesterday. His official losing margin was
18.6m but he would have finished much closer than that if everything had gone
to plan. Click here to view the run.
Star
Trialler (Racing Tonight)
Chief
Destroyer (Race 2 no. 3)
This
bloke is a pretty well bred son of It Is I who has impressed in three
Maryborough trials, the latest of which saw him finish less than a metre from
talented performers Amadmancomesundone and Metro Mike in a last half of 57.9
seconds. He faces a strong field on debut but may be worth an each way nibble
from his favourable front line draw.
Did
You Know?
Did you
know that if you had followed the Good Form blog on Saturday night at Shepparton
you’d have walked away very happy indeed?
Let’s
start with The Game Plan. Michael Polster suggested three Best Bets for the
Shepparton programme, One More Smile ($2.20), Easy Lightning ($1.70) & Bon
Jovi ($2.50). Represented as an All Up those pacers would have snared you $9.35
for every $1 invested!
Polster
also recorded a handy profit with his suggested Trifectas and his suggested
Quads.
Add to
that the fact that two of Shepparton’s three Black Bookers in Bon Jovi and
Apollos Gift also won along with the night’s only Star Trialler Forest Babe at
$6.60 and it was a red letter night for Good Form followers. Kilmore Cup Day’s
only Black Booker Mister Grizzly also saluted yesterday at the juicy odds of
$12!
Jason
Bonnington was also in form via Twitter on Saturday night declaring just two
runners; Bon Jovi ($2.50) and Apollos Gift ($2.40) both of whom won with a leg
in the air. Amazingly that running double paid $8.10 for every $1
invested.
