Good Form Preview - Sunday Session @ Cranbourne

THE GAME PLAN for Cranbourne – with Michael Polster

Best Bet

Light In Every Day (Race 5 no. 1)
Handy mare who is aiming up for the hat trick after going wire-to-wire at Maryborough where she finished off in 27.6 before an equally as impressive Bendigo triumph 8 days ago. She should muster the necessary speed to hold the top tonight and from there her rivals will have a hard time mowing her down.

Best Value Bet

The Rogue Trader (Race 1 no. 10)
Comes off a last start second to Touch My Pocket in claiming grade at Ballarat a month ago and showed his readiness for this by winning a Maryborough trial last Sunday where he slipped home in 27.7. He draws poorly over the mile but there will be pace on early and watch for this bloke to be hammering home at the business end.

Best Quinella

Coltrane Bromac and Smooth Freddy (Race 4 no’s 2 and 5)
Coltrane Bromac should be first to the pegs but normally hands up in his races so Smooth Freddy is expected to slide the lead and they should dominate thereafter.

Quaddies (x3)

5/ 1/ 1,2,4,8/ 5.  $20 gets you 500%
2,5/ 1/ 1,2,4,8/ 5.  $60 gets you 750%
2,5/ 4/ 1,2,4,8/ 5.  $20 gets you 250%

BLACK BOOKERS – (Racing tonight)

Mossdale Allan (Race 1 no. 8)
This guy is no star but his effort three starts back at Bendigo was good and he improved again when charging home in a similar race to this at this course last time out. The draw today also suits so expect him to figure in the finish of a pretty even opening race on the card. Click here to view his most recent run.

BLACK BOOKERS – Swan Hill Saturday Night

Bon Jovi
Phenomenal effort by the Steve Lindberg trained former Kiwi campaigner to make all the running and still defy his rivals in what may be a pretty long-standing Swan Hill track record of 1:56.9 for the 2240m trip. The scary thing is that was a C1 to C2 affair so he should zip through his classes with a minimum of fuss. Click here to view the run.

Savesomtimetodream
Nothing went right for this rising star sit-sprinter who dropped out of the fight early but probably didn’t expect to end up stone cold last in the inaugural Swan Hill Mile. From there he was held up behind tiring horses and pulled 5 and 6 wide on the turn before hitting top gear when it was all  over and finishing second to Keayang Cullen beaten 1.6m. Click here to view the run.

Composed
Last season’s Cobram and Maryborough Cup placegetter settled well back along the inside in this year’s Swan Hill before weaving through late to make significant ground through a 27.4-second final quarter behind Saint Flash and Bitobliss. He is low flying right now and may well be a smoky in next Sunday’s star studded Kilmore Pacing Cup. Click here to view the run.

STAR TRIALLERS – (Racing Tonight)

The Rogue Trader (Race 1 no. 10)
Hasn’t started for a month but was tuned up for this with a Maryborough trial win over the smart Metro Mike where he dashed home in a slippery last quarter of 27.7. The draw is no luxury but there should be some speed on early and this lightly-raced 8YO should be hitting the line strongly.

PROGRAMME IN REVIEW

Tricky night for HRV’s resident tipsters but all provided highlights @ Swan Hill’s inaugural meeting.

Michael Polster snared a small profit for Good Form followers w/ his suggested Quads and more importantly snared his BEST QUINELLA of Saint Flash & Bitobliss which paid crazily well @ $5.80. Amazingly, that was Polster’s third BEST QUINELLA from four suggestions to hit its mark this week. Will Coltrane Bromac & Smooth Freddy keep that run going @ Cranbourne tonight?

Bill Hutchison jagged a massive dividend w/ his suggested Quad. In fact if you’d taken his combination for 100% it would have cost you $144 & you’d have hit the bar afterwards w/ $1958! Hutchy also found Keayang Cullen among his value bets and Thats Mister Ali, who paid $8.27 the place on fixed odds with the TAB as his best roughie.

Jason Bonnington was uncharacteristically quiet on Nyah Cup night but did Tweet out one value bet for the night – Thats Mister Ali – which as just mentioned paid an incredible $8.27 the drum in the Nyah Pacing Cup.

Good form followers who keep a keen eye on the Black Bookers & Star Triallers should also have reaped some rewards w/ Star Trialler Caulonia Babe winning at $6.50 on Fixed Odds and Black Booker Just Sarge running a drum at $3.60 the place.
