Good Form Preview - Monday @ Yarra Valley

The Game Plan for Yarra Valley – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
I usually love betting at Yarra Valley but this is a very tricky programme to kick off the wagering week. If you love competitive racing and you’re happy to play wide in exotics and Quads then this is the programme for you but I’ll be playing a very targeted Game Plan today with just 1 Best Bet, 1 Best Value, 1 Money Race and a quartet of Quads.

Best Bet ($50 Win)
Nobetterthanthis (Race 3 no. 8) $3.20
Despite her inability to break through from 8 career starts I’ve always had some time for this mare and I think she’ll only need a hint of luck in transit here to prove too good for these. The draw is an imposition but she’s the best horse engaged for mine and her two recent trial wins have only buoyed my confidence.

Best Value ($15 x $35)
Jetshawjoe (Race 1 no. 2) $11
The form guide will tell you that this bloke was beaten 90m last start when first up from a break but he was actually kept pretty safe in the market there and gave himself no possible chance by racing ungenerously when unable to find the front and dropping out badly late as a result. He looks a huge hope of working to the top here and whether he holds that spot or hands up to stablemate Caesar Supreme (7) he’s a great hope of snaring minor money at least.

The Money Race – Race 5
Fon Design (2) is the one to beat here but she in by no means a moral and with only 4 other possible podium finishers this race looks ideal as a multiple medium.

2/ 1,6,9,10/ 1,6,9,10. $36 gets 300%
1,6,9,10/ 2/ 1,6,9,10. $18 gets 150%
1,6,9,10/ 1,6,9,10/ 2. $6 gets 50%

The Quads (x4 for $190)
1,2,6,9,10/ 1,7/ 1,3/ 8. $40 gets 200%
1,2,6,9,10/ 1,7/ 1,3/ 1,2,6,12,13. $100 gets 100%
1,2,6,9,10/ 1,7/ 2,4,8/ 8. $30 gets 100%
1,2,6,9,10/ 3,8/ 1,3/ 8. $20 gets 100%
