After a couple of very moderate meetings to kick off the week we’ve found ourselves a card we can really sink our teeth into here. That’s because the quality of horseflesh is higher, making them far more trustworthy and infinitely more attractive on which to take a punt.

The Morals/ All-Up ($50)

The Court Jester (Race 2 no. 2) $1.35
This guy helped pull off an enormous plunge on debut then got the job done, but in less impressive fashion last time out. He’ll have a little fight on his hand if Heathbern Star (3) spears across him at the start but even then he should prove a shade too good.

Vics Cheval (Race 3 no. 7) $1.70

Put simply, this mare is in a different world to her rivals and if she stays in gait throughout she will win for sure.

Next Best Bets ($25 Win)

Mister Desirable (Race 1 no. 6) $3.75
I always like horses that are new to Claiming grade taking on horses who’ve been plying their trade at that level for a while and this guy looks a sensational example of that type of horse. Critically, he also gets to arrive here with the equal-second-biggest price tag on his head but still draws to advantage as he should spear to the lead from his gate six draw and lead this lot a merry dance tonight.

Blissfull Hart (Race 5 no. 1) $5.50

This is a pretty strong race but the fact remains that the above pacer has excellent gate speed, should lead and also has the bottom to run along a bit and keep going late over the sprint trip here tonight.

The Money Races (Flexi Trifectas for $50)

Race 1
I’ve got a lot of faith that Mister Desirable (6) can lead and win here and I ‘m banking on the fact that consistent campaigner Johnny Tee (4) is his only danger and will join him on the dais tonight.
