Good Form Preview - Wednesday @ Quest

The Game Plan for Shepparton - with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

It's not often I say this, but tread warily betting on today's Shepparton card. Almost every race is a minefield so I'm just hitting 1 Money Race & having a dig @ a crazy wide Quad. Also note the Star Triallers at the bottom of this preview. They are probably both worth targeting as well.

The Money Race - Race 2

This is an invitational race for young drivers so the risk we take is that all of these horses will be steered by unfamiliar reinspeople, but the draw has been kind in terms of making it a betting race so it's well worth having a crack. Put simply, Now And Forever (1), Guggenheim (7) & In Triplicate (8) look the only winning chances and all have drawn to figure in the finish. A few others can run a drum but we'll include them in the Tricks outlined below.

1,7,8/ 1,7,8/ 1,5,7,8,9. $63 gets 350%
1,7,8/ 1,7,8/ 2,4,6,10. $18 gets 75%
1,7,8/ 5,9/ 1,5,7,8,9. $19 gets 105.56%

Quaddies

6,7,10,11/ 2,3,5,7,9/ 2,4,8,9,10,12/ 1,2,5,6,7. $100 gets 16.67%.

Star Triallers

Tezz Khora (Race 1 no. 4) $2.50

This guy is a Kenneth J debutante and half brother to former smart pacer Off The Cuff Lombo who has won two recent trials, the latest of which saw him defeat impressive APG heat winner, Fast Flyer, finishing off in 58 flat at Shepparton two weeks back. This looks a winnable affair and if he lives up to that trial form he should go very close.

What A Fine Fella (Race 7 no. 5) $ 4.50

He has always had above average ability and looked ready to explode this campaign when winning an April 7 Cobram trial over Little Red Cloud and co in a blistering mile rate of 1:57.9 highlighted by a final half of 56.1. His is not an easy race but it's tough to see them rolling him if he's in that kind of mood.
