Good Form Preview - Cup Night at Ararat

THE GAME PLAN for Ararat – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

THE MONEY RACES
Things look a little bit tricky from an exotic point of view tonight but I’ve come up with Races 1,2 and 6 as the best ones to target and I’m playing a number of different ways in each race to ensure I’ve covered all the bases to give us the best chance of a return.  The bets are outlined below and I’m spending $300 on them, which along with my $100 Quaddie will take my total spend for the night to $400.

STAR TRIALLER

Was heavily-supported to win the Echuca Cup at his first try behind the tapes but after bungling the start and doing stacks of work in the run he felt the pinch to finish fourth behind Our Blackbird.  He was far from disgraced there and has since had some standing start practice when victorious in a Melton trial last Tuesday so with a safe beginning this time around he is sure to go very close.

Major Lloyd – Click here to view the replay
Was having his second run back from a long break last night and after securing a nice sit on the back of hot favourite Majorlook he never stopped trying in the straight to go down fighting at the end of a 27.1 final quarter.  He will be further improved by that outing and is sure to be hard to beat in a suitable contest whenever he steps out next.
