Good Form Preview - Monday @ Warragul

The Game Plan for Warragul – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
As has been mentioned on this blog a few times before, Warragul is a tricky track to punt at sometimes but knowing who will lead in races here is half the battle and today I’m pretty sure I can tell you who’ll lead at least five of the seven races on the card. Only two of them are near-on good things but all of the rest are going well enough to build Money Races around, while we’ll also have a solid crack at the Quad as per usual.

Best Bets/ All-Up/ Running Double
Ok To Fly (Race 2 no. 3) $1.50
In a development which should see punters rejoice, this bloke has snuck a run as an emergency and should get us a few extra dollars for later in the card. He has been in great form for quite a while now and was especially good at Yarra Valley last Monday despite going down in the lane. Expect him to lead and expect him to win.

Isntshesomething (Race 3 no. 2) $3.30
This girl split the prize with Roman Abbey last time out but had been knocking on the door for some time prior to that win. This race boasts a fast front line but she gets out as well as anything and can either lead all the way or hand up and hope for some luck. I would suggest they’ll go for a pillar to post triumph over the 1785m trip and prove a shade too good.

The Money Races

Race 5
Peace Of Magic (4) is the very likely leader here and he actually meets a field he should be able to beat from that position. It’ s a wide old race outside of him though so play conservatively and hope for some value in the placings.

4/ 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,11/ Field. $40 gets 62.5%
2,5,6,7,9,11/ 4/ Field. $10 gets 20.83%

Race 7
Yet again it looks like we’ve found the leader here in the form of Vote Pedro (4) and once again we’re banking that he’ll finish first or second at very worst. There are also limited dangers so play the Tricks below & we should finish the day off with a bang.

4/ 1,9,10/ 1,5,6,9,10,11. $30 gets 200%
1,9,10/ 4/ 1,5,6,9,10,11. $20 gets 133.33%

Quaddie
1,4,6/ 2,4,5,6,7,9,11/ 4,7/ 1,4,9,10. $50 gets 29.76%

Redwood Day holds a special place for all trotting enthusiasts but while it's one of Victoria's most anticipated and unique meetings each year, it can also be a graveyrad for punters. Our goal this year is to make sure we come out on top and I plan on doing that by avoiding the favourites and playing for value while also having a red hot dip @ today's $25,000 Jackpot Quad.

Good Form Preview - Saturday night @ Lords Raceway

The Game Plan for Bendigo - with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)

Tonight's Bendigo programme is very much split in two. The first seven races are quality events where we can make some serious folding but the last four races are very tough to read so we'll be hoping to make our cash by the end of the Quaddie before re-investing our profits for fun or just heading out for a quiet night on the tiles! In all I've found three near-morals, one Best Value, Money Races & some Quads so let's get into this pretty juicy card.

Best Bets/ All-Up ($50 All-up)

All of these runners should start in red figures but I'm hoping a $50 investment will return us more than $150.

Gollahman (Race 2 no. 5) $1.40

This bloke has caught the eye in much better races than this of recent times and should win for fun if he's anywhere near his best. There are some debutantes w/ potentially untapped ability engaged but they's want to be good to beat this guy tonight.

Te Amo Bromac (Race 3 no. 6) $1.70

This Kiwi invader meets a couple of handy locals tonight but her form in New Zealand has been exemplary and I'd be shocked if she wasn't a class abover her rivals here. Sandy Kay (1) is the major threat but I'm willing to stick w/ the Mark Purdon magic.

Zacharia (Race 4 no. 11) $1.80

He is another Mark Purdon-trained commodity that looked awesome winning a Vicbred Super Series heat before locking wheels and losing all hope at that series' semi-final phase. He should also outclass his rivals w/ ordinary luck in transit.

Best Value ($25 Each Way)

Run Ripalong (Race 7 no. 1) $3.50

This bloke isn't the most reliable commodity in work but sometimes horses just find their right race and given this guy is an ambush artist by nature who draws to get the gun he loves in a race where there are question marks over many of his rivals, I think this bloke has found his race tonight.

The Money Races

Race 2

As mentioned above, Gollahman (5) looks near enough to home here and with limited place chances behind him I reckon we can play two trifectas and walk away w/ a pretty tidy profit.

5/ 2,4/ 2,4. $30 gets 1500%
5/ 2,4/ 3,9. $16 gets 400%
5/ 2,4/ 1,8. $4 gets 100%

Race 3

I'm going to play this race four ways but my primary thought is that Te Amo Bromac (6) will be winning while Sandy Kay (1) will be running a drum.

6/ 1/ 4. $25 gets 2500%
6/ 4/ 1. $10 gets 1000%
6/ 1/ 8. $10 gets 1000%
6/ 1/ 9. $5 gets 500%

Race 4

The key theory here is that there are limited chances to even run a drum and Zacharia (11) shoudl win with any luck at all. Play the following Trifectas and you shouldn't go far wrong.

11/ 5,10,12/ 5,10,12. $30 gets 500%
11/ 5,10,12/ 7,8,9. $9 gets 100%
5,10,12/ 11/ 5,10,12. $11 gets 183.33%

Quaddies (x3)

The theory behinf these three Quads is that two of my top tip, including Zacharia, must win for us to walk away w/ the money.

11/ 10/ 2,4,6,7,8,9,10/ 1,3,5,6,7,9,10,12. $35 gets 62.5%
11/ 3,5,6,7,10,11,12/ 10/ 1,3,5,6,7,9,10,12. $35 gets 62.5%
11/ 3,5,6,7,10,11,12/ 2,4,6,7,8,9,10/ 1. $30 gets 61.2%

Star Trialler (Racing Tonight)

Bronco Apache (Race 11 no. 4) $3.30

This gelding finds himself in the weakest of possible races having been narrowly beaten  (2m) by Braodway Playboy in a recent Bendigo triall where they finished off in 58.7secs. That's incredible form for a race of this nature so he should go very close for sure.

Good Form Preview - Friday Night @ HQ

Adam Hamilton's Melton & Maryborough Preview

The Game Plan for Melton – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
There are a few less races than we’re used to on a Friday night at Tabcorp Park but it still looks like a goldmine from a betting perspective and given Good Form followers should be cashed up after a very profitable week I reckon we open the shoulders and have a genuine crack. In all, I’m going to target one Best Bet, one Best Value Bet, four Money Races and the Quad while I’ve also thrown in a suggested BIG6 for those wanting to exploit the TAB’s $50,000 Jackpot this evening. Let’s play!
Best Bet
Teo Enteo (Race 7 no. 8) $2.50 - Click here to bet on this horse now
The moment I printed out fields for tonight I knew I’d be keen on this bloke and a thorough analysis of the race has only made my confidence grow. A devastating ambush artist by nature, he could not have asked for a better draw as he will follow out likely leader Atlas Alliance (2) and after going within 1.8m of winning a very similar race to this three starts back I’m not sure how they’ll resist his brutal finishing burst.

Best Value
Blazeaway Macray (Race 5 no. 1) $4 - Click here to bet on this horse now
This girl is one of Victoria’s most improved mares, not necessarily in terms of ability, but her will to win and competitive instinct is much better than it was in her 3YO term. She has fantastic gate speed and looks a 90% chance of holding the lead tonight, add to the mix that there won’t be any great pressure in transit and if she goes as well as she has through semi-final and final of the Vicbred Super Series for 4YO mares I don’t think even the great Broadways Best (11) can run her down.

The Money Races
Race 2
I love heat-and-final series’ and this is no different given the fact I’m almost certain the two heat winners Sapphire Swayze (11) & Cheesy Grin (13) are a class above their rivals and will fight the finish out in spite of their car park draws. I’ve played pretty skinny for third but you can play wider if you think there’s one I’ve left out in my quest for a big Flexi percentage.

11,13/ 11,13/ 1,3,4,8,10. $50 gets 500%
Race 3
A number of events tonight are basically four-horse races and this is no different with Real Magic (1), Cheap Tint (4), Pinevale Willpower (7) and Narra Operative (8) the only winning chances for mine. Box that quartet up in your main Trifecta and play a little wider for third in your saver tonight.

1,4,7,8 Boxed. $30 gets 125%
1,4,7,8/ 1,4,7,8/ 3,9. $20 gets 83.33%

Race 5
As mentioned above, I’m fully expecting Blazeaway Macray (1) to lead and win here but even if she is to get rolled I can’t see her finishing any worse than second. Much like the previous Money Race I concede winning chances to four runners in total, so I’ll be making provisions for any of Bettor Give It (5), Lombo Cloud Nine (8) or Broadways Best (11) and then play a little wider fro third.

1/ 5,8,11/ 5,8,11. $24 gets 400%
1/ 5,8,11/ 6,7,9,12. $12 gets 100%
5,8,11/ 1/ 5,8,11. $12 gets 200%
5,8,11/ 1/ 6,7,9,12. $2 gets 16.67%

Race 7
Also mentioned above is my theory that Atlas Alliance (2) will hold the lead here with Teo Enteo (8) on his back and I’d be shocked if they didn’t fight out the finish if that scenario plays out as expected. I’ve played pretty skinny for second and third but you can play wider if you’re feeling conservative.

2,8/ 2,8/ 5,9,10,11,12. $40 gets 400%
2,8/ 5,9,10,11,12/ 2,8. $10 gets 100%

Quaddies (x2)
1,2,3,4,9/ 1,5,8,11/ 1,2,6,8/ 2,8. $80 gets 50%
1,2,3,4,9/ 1,5,8,11/ 1,2,6,8/ 9,11. $20 gets 12.5%

Jackpot BIG6
1,4,7,8/ 1,2,3,4,9/ 1,5,8,11/ 1,2,6,8/ 2,8/ 5,6,7,8,10. $50 gets 1.56%

Good Form Preview - Redwood Day 1

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
The Redwood Carnival kicks off today and while the programme is very tricky from a betting perspective I’ve found a couple of races where I’m hoping we can add to the kitty for Tabcorp Park tonight.

The Money Races
Race 3
In essence I see this as a three horse race between debutante Kyvalley Glide (1), Shakamond (2) and Gidah (10) but we’re dealing with a couple of inexperienced trotters here so I’m playing safe with three Trifecta combos.

1,2,10 Boxed. $18 gets 300%
1,2,10/ 1,2,10/ 8,9,12. $23 gets 127.78%
1,2,10/ 8,9,12/ 1,2,10. $9 gets 50%

Race 6
Put simply, if Maori Time (11) does everything right she should definitely win this and even if she makes a mistake I still think she’ll be good enough to run a drum. With that in mind take the following Trifectas dor staggered amounts.

11/ 10,12/ 5,6,8,9,10,12. $30 gets 300%
10,12/ 11/ 5,6,8,9,10,12. $15 gets 150%
10,12/ 5,6,8,9,10,12/ 11. $5 gets 50%

Quaddies (x2)
6,7/ 4,12/ 10,11,12/ 4,11,13. $40 gets 111.11%
6,7/ 2,6,7,9,11/ 10,11,12/ 4,11,13. $60 gets 66.67%
