Good Form Preview - Wednesday Night @ Ballarat

THE GAME PLAN for Ballarat – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

ALL UP
There are a number of tricky races on tonight’s card but there are also a few ‘easy kills’ and I’ve come up with the below All Up as my one big go for the night.  I’m going to throw $300 at it and if I get a return of around $700 I’ll be pretty happy.

Quinella:      Race 2 no’s 2 Fifth And Broadway and 4 Doomed
Win:               Race 5 no. 6 Hexham Heartbeat
Quinella:      Race 8 no’s 3 Colby Reilly and 6 Nogueira

BEST VALUE BET

Exciteusinthecity (Race 4 no. 6) $5    $30 win x $70 place
I realise there are only 6 runners here and there will be no third dividend but I’m going to take the punt and have a good go at this guy each way in the hope that he doesn’t miss the top two.  He is back with Darren Cole after a successful campaign in Sydney with Darren Hancock where he contested the Chariots of Fire behind Christen Me at his latest start back in March, and with all due respect to his rivals tonight, none of them would dream of being in a race of that stature.  He has been trialling stylishly for his return, including a victory over star Kiwi mare Donegal Delight at Geelong 9 days ago in fast time and I think he will run a mighty race first up.

QUADDIES X 2 $100 Total Spend
1,4,5,6,7/ 6/ 1,11,12/ 1.  $45 gets you 300%
1,4,5,6,7/ 6/ 1,11,12/ 3,4,6,8,10,11.  $55 gets you 61.11%

The Game Plan for Ballarat – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Bray Raceway is a much faster and fairer track following its refurbishment so we can expect some exciting racing tonight and I can see a couple at odds helping us to a profit along with a very skinny all-up and one straight-out Quad.

Best Bets/ All-Up
Race 2 Quinella: Fifth And Broadway (2) & Doomed (4).
Hexham Heartbeat (Race 5 no. 6) $1.80
Race 8 Quinella: Colby Reilly (3) & Nogueira (6).

If you double your money here it’s happy days indeed.

Best Value
Sarum Knight (Race 1 no. 4) $4 ($25 EW)
In a very even Claimer to kick off the card I’m happy to take the $4 that this bloke can work to the front and hold his rivals at bay. He improved on recent efforts when first-up for Andy Gath last start and given that stable is on fire right now, I’m happy to get on board.

Best Roughie
Village Peach (Race 7 no. 8) $11 ($25 EW)
There is no Sprint Lane at Bray Raceway so this mare will need a shade of luck in the lane but if Bettor Move (1) can hold the top as expected and she can hunt through and keep that horse’s back, then the $11 will look very juicy indeed. She is also a gun miler in #goodform so may be the one to provide your biggest win all night.

The Money Race – Race 5
I’ve already outline the fact that Hexham Heartbeat (6) should be winning this with ease and with limited chances to fill a hole I reckon it’s a nice race to target for exotics.

6/ 1,8/ 1,5,7,8. $36 gets 600%
6/ 5,7/ 1,5,7,8. $14 gets 233.33%

Quaddies (x4)
Field/ 6/ 1,2,9,10,11,12/ 1,3,8,11. $100 gets 83.33%

Star Trialler (Racing Today)
Exciteusinthecity (race 4 no. 6)
This bloke has clearly benefited from his time in Sydney and after two recent trial wins, the most recent of which saw him defeat Queen of the Pacific aspirant Donegal Delight at Geelong on May 13, he should go close tonight.

Good Form Preview - Wednesday @ Maryborough

The Game Plan for Maryborough – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Five of today’s eight races are for the squaregaiters so those who love the trots will be in seventh heaven. I can envisage up to five races having red figure favourites but there are pitfalls involved with many of them so I’ve nominated the two I think are least likely of losing to pair in an all-up before having a crack at one Money Race and four staggered Quads.

Best Bets/ All-Up
Maidstone Miss (Race 1 no. 2) $1.50
She is headed for much bigger things than this and will only have to stay in gait to win this race by a margin.

Im Stately (Race 3 no. 8) $1.80
I’m confident this bloke will start favourite in the Tatlow final next start and if he can negotiate the awkward gate eight draw they won’t be beating him either.

To be honest it’s a little difficult to know exactly what price these two will start but I’ve got my fingers crossed that a $50 investment will return around $135.

The Money Races
Race 2
Not sure if we’re going to make our millions here either but there’s probably only five or six metres between these trotters and given the less experienced trio engaged don’t look to be stars, I feel confident this lot will comprise the first four horses home and that could happen in any order at all.

First 4: 3,4,6,7,8. $60 gets 50%

Quaddies (x4)
5/ 6,7,11/ 10/ 1,3,4,6,10,11. $36 gets 200%
1,4/ 6,7,11/ 10/ 1,3,4,6,10,11. $18 gets 50%
5/ 6,7,11/ 3,6,8,11/ 1,3,4,6,10,11. $36 gets 50%
1,4/ 6,7,11/ 3,6,8,11/ 1,3,4,6,10,11. $10 gets 6.94%

Good Form Preview - Tuesday night @ Kilmore

The Game Plan for Kilmore – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Tonight represents yet another tricky Victorian trots meeting but I’m hopeful that our Money Race and Quads will ensure we walk away in the black regardless.

The Money Race
Race 5
7/ 1,2,5,10/ 1,2,5,10. $60 gets 500%
7/ 1,2,5,10/ 4,6,8. $18 gets 150%
1,2,5,10/ 7/ 1,2,5,10. $18 gets 150%
1,2,5,10/ 7/ 4,6,8. $4 gets 33.33%

Quaddies
4,5/ 7/ 1,5,8,9,11/ 7. $30 gets 300%
4,5/ 1,2,5,10/ 1,5,8,9,11/ 7. $30 gets 75%
2,3,6,9/ 7/ 1,5,8,9,11/ 7. $20 gets 100%
2,3,6,9/ 1,2,5,10/ 1,5,8,9,11/ 7. $20 gets 25%

*CAVEAT – We like to do this every now & again so you should be well versed. Put simply, if the dividends are looking juicy approaching the final leg of this Quad, you should consider laying-off on a couple of other runners. Primarily I would be having something decent on Hollys Miss Molly (10) and less on Cheshire Cat (3).

Star Trialler (Racing Today)
Dual Agent Tabman (Race 5 no. 7) $1.80
This bloke was terrific last campaign and indicated he is very likely to pick up right where he left off with a terrific trial second behind It Is Billy at Bendigo on April 15, which was followed by an even more impressive trail success at the very same track eight days ago where he rated 1:59.5 and finished off in 58.2 to beat Tanabi Bromac by 6m. He is a talented animal and flip of the coin odds look good enough today.

Black Booker (Racing Today)
Raylan Gibbins (Race 2 no. 10) $4
This fellow made a big impression on debut when sitting in behind the speed before strolling past his rivals in the lane. He looks an athlete of the highest order and should give this lot a great run for their money, even from the second line draw. Click here to view the run.

THE GAME PLAN for Kilmore – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

BEST BET

Major Calipso (Race 7 no. 7) $1.70
This guy is a more than handy 3YO who resumes from a 3-month break tonight without the benefit of a trial, plus he draws the car park, but he does look to have a class edge on his rivals and I’m going to take the punt he is ready to rock and roll tonight and have a good crack at him straight out.  He’s getting $300 of mine on the nose.

THE MONEY RACE

Race 3
This looks a great race to target with three strong winning chances in the form of Soho Jolie, American Para and Charlienme with Sly Christian and Got Nothing the next best so I’m going to take some First Fours around them in a number of different ways.  Below is how I’m spending $100.

Race 3
3,6,9/ 3,6,9/ 3,6,9/ 7,8.  $52 gets you 433.33%
3,6,9/ 3,6,9/ 7,8/ 3,6,9.  $30 gets you 250%
3,6,9/ 7,8/ 3,6,9/ 3,6,9.  $18 gets you 150%

QUADDIES X 4 $100 Total Spend
4,5/ 7/ 5,8,9/ 7.  $30 gets you 500%
4,5/ 1,10/ 5,8,9/ 7.  $40 gets you 333.33%
3,6,9/ 7/ 5,8,9/ 7.  $15 gets you 166.66%
3,6,9/ 1,10/ 5,8,9/ 7.  $15 gets you 83.33%

Good Form Preview - Noel Smith Drivers Championship @ Horsham

The Game Plan for Horsham – with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Today’s meeting looks very juicy at first glance but on closer inspection there are plenty of pitfalls if you don’t watch your step. Having said that I think there are two Money Races where we can hope to turn a profit plus a Best Value bet, Black Booker and a number of Quaddie combinations.

The Money Races
Race 3
Realy Under Fire (7) and Seven And A Half (11) are both pretty green but they have their rivals covered on the score of talent and one of the two should win here, so play the following Trifectas and we shouldn’t be far off the mark.
7,11/ 4,7,11/ 1,2,4,5,7,11. $38 gets 237.5%
7,11/ 4,7,11/ 6,9. $4 gets 50%
7,11/ 1,5/ 1,2,4,5,7,11. $8 gets 50%

Race 7
The major issue here will be making sure that Discrimination (1) kicks through and holds a fast front line at bay here early, but if he does then both he and Night Affair (8) should figure in the placings and one of them should win. Play the Tricks below and cross your fingers at the start.
1,8/ 1,8/ 2,3,6,7,10. $30 gets 300%
1,8/ 2,3,6,7,10/ 1,8. $20 gets 200%

Best Value

Forced Out (Race 6 no. 2) $7
She’s no star and she certainly doesn’t win out of turn but if you’re looking for one that can be backed with confidence Each Way at a price then this is your girl for sure. Fingers crossed she’ll lob handy than normal from the nice draw and against moderate opposition it’s hard to see her missing a drum at the $7 quoted in today’s Herald Sun.

Quaddies
4,6,10/ 2,3,4,5,11/ 2,8/ 1,8. $60 gets 100%
4,6,10/ 2,3,4,5,11/ 2,8/ 2,3,7,10. $40 gets 33.33%

Black Booker
Discrimination (Race 7 no. 1) $3.50
Typically brilliant beginner from the Lance Justice camp who was luckless last start and looks ideally suited from barrier one this afternoon. There is speed drawn outside him but if he can punch through and hold the top the $3.50 quoted in today’s Herald Sun looks very juicy indeed. Click here to view his most recent run.

Good Form Preview - Sunday Night at Melton

THE GAME PLAN for Melton – with Michael Polster (@mickpolster)

THE MONEY RACES
These restricted meetings are often a little difficult to sort out, and tonight’s card is no exception, but I still think there is some money to be made with Races 3,4 and 5 the best ones to attack.  I’m going to take the below Trifectas for a combined total of $300, which along with my $100 Quaddie will take my total outlay for the night to $400.

Race 3
3/ 2,5/ 2,5.  $40 gets you 2000%
3/ 2,5/ 1,4,6,8.  $26 gets you 325%

2,5/ 3/ 1,4,6,8.  $14 gets you 175%

Race 4
1,8/ 1,8/ 3,5,9,11,12,13.  $72 gets you 600%
1,8/ 3,5,12/ 1,8.  $28 gets you 466.66%

Race 5
7/ 1/ 5,9,10.  $23 gets you 766.66%
7/ 5,9,10/ 1.  $23 gets you 766.66%
1,9,10/ 7/ 1,5,9,10.  $54 gets you 600%

QUADDIES X 3 $100 Total Spend
