Good Form Preview - Friday @ HQ

The Game Plan for Melton – with Andrew Evans(@AndrewEvansHRV)
Best Bets ($75 Win)
(Race 2 No.9 Our Warwick Lad) $4.50
This guy produced an extremely tough effort to out stay his rivals in his heat of this final. He is drawn to get an ideal run through here behind quick beginner Who Broke Our Halo at the start and is the horse to beat.

(Race 3 No.3 Cowboy Cadillac) $2.50
This guy has been going as well as he ever has in recent times for the Ross Sugars stable. He should have enough speed to get across to the pegs first tonight then he can either take a sit behind one of his main dangers PINEVALE WILLPOWER (6) or shoot for an all the way win. From either spot he looks very hard to beat here.

(Race 8 No.3 Ifu Seek Flight) $2.75
This guy is drawn to find the lead tonight over the sprint trip and he should dictate terms and be hard to beat. The last three times he has been able to find the lead in his races he has been victorious and his main rival looks to have quite a job ahead of him from the outside of the second row.

Best Value ($15W/$35P)
(Race 1 No.7 Grins Rendition) $10
This bloke is racing in great form at the moment with two wins from here from his last three outings. I’m not sure how he will be driven tonight from his wide draw but with luck he is a definite winning hope and could be sent out well over the odds.

Money Race
(Race 5 $50 First Fours)
4/ 1,6,10/ 1,6,8,9,10/ 1,6,8,9,10 $30 gets 83.33%
1,6,10/ 4/ 1,6,8,9,10/ 1,6,8,9,10 $20 gets 55.56%

The Quaddies (x2)
1,3,4,6,10,11/ 1,4,6,10/ 2,5,7,8,10,11/ 7 $50 gets 34.72%
1,3,4,6,10,11/ 1,4,6,10/ 2,5,7,8,10,11/ 8,9 $50 gets 17.36%

The Game Plan for Melton – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
We have a fairly tricky nine race program at HQ tonight but in saying that I’m convinced we can turn a profit on the meeting thanks to a best bet at terrific odds, a couple of best values and two money races followed by a split Quaddie to try and find some value for the punters. After snagging the Quaddie last night we have struck some #GoodForm so hopefully it can continue over the weekend.

Best Bet ($50 win)
Elegant Image (Race 5 No.9) $6 TAB Fixed Odds - Click here to bet on this horse now
If you put a line through his last run, this bloke would dead-set start odds on in tonight’s race. I wasn’t convinced about how well he was going when he strung together those three wins fresh from a break but coming of a little niggle he had totally won me over in his three seconds before his last start seventh. He has drawn the running line tonight and whether he finds the chair mid-race, or comes with one run, I expect him to return to his best tonight.

Best Value ($25 each way)
Steam Washed (Race 4 No.1) $8
First-up from a break I’d implore any punter to go back and watch the replay of this little mare because her run was out of this world. She was peppered in front when she had to work to find the front in a similar class race last time and if she can hold speedy beginner Illawong Kath (2) into the first bend, which I think she can, then she can either take a sit on likely favourite Beauty Secret (3) or simply use her toughness to lead them a merry dance.

Johnny Quid (Race 6 No.5) $6.50
We’ve singled out another one with some early toe but a whole heap of toughness and after three runs this time in he should be ready to show his best. He was a dual Vicbred Super Series heat winner last time in and he seems to be starting to realise some of the potential he has always shown. If he can keep rolling forward after the start to find a position in the first handful of runners, then although he is no moral, I think he can run a big race for us.

The Money Races
Race 3 ($50 flexi trifectas)
I love the look of this claimer because it isn’t the strongest claiming race we’ve seen in recent times but there are three horses who should be a class above their rivals tonight Cowboy Cadillac (3) will likely be first to the pegs but don’t be surprised if Pinevale Willpower (6) gets a flyer and crosses him almost immediately. From their I don’t expect there to be a lot of mid-race pressure however Thats Mister Ali (11) is almost certain to run into a placing so we will play our main boxed trifecta with a couple of savers in case a roughie lobs into the trifecta.

Boxed 3,6,11. $12 gets 200%
3,6,11/3,6,11/2,5,7,10. $13 gets 54.16%
3,6,11/2,5,7,10/3,6,11. $13 gets 54.16%
3,6,11/2,5,7,10/2,5,7,10 $12 gets 33.33%

Race 9 ($50 flexi first 4’s)
I’m really keen on this race mainly because I think that Hectorjayjay (2) could well be a standout three-year-old so we can get on board early and make some coin from him even if he does start a short-priced favourite. Presidentialsecret (4) will be the clear second pick and I would be shocked if he didn’t run into the first 4 somewhere so we will play wide for the other placings, because almost every other horse has a place chance.

2/4/3,5,6,7,8/3,5,6,7,8 $30 gets 150%
2/3,5,6,7,8/4/3,5,6,7,8 $15 gets 75%
2/3,5,6,7,8/3,5,6,7,8/4 $5 gets 25%

Quaddies (x2)
1,3,10/9,10/5,6,7,10/6,7,8. $72 gets 100%
4,5,6,8,11/9,10/5,6,7,10/6,7,8. $28 gets 23.33%

Good Form Preview - Thursday @ The Rat

The Game Plan for Ballarat – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
We will keep it relatively simple tonight at Ballarat with a couple of best bets likely to start shorter than the price quoted, a little win bet on a roughie plus a money race and just the single Quaddie. For those who are dreading the thought of going back to work in the next few days, or if you have already returned to the grind, hopefully we can make a dollar on tonight's meeting.

Best Bet ($50 win)
Madam Pom Pom (Race 3 No.3) $3
This mare is first-up for Emma Stewart and after an encouraging trial at Ballarat just under two weeks ago, I think she is ready to return to her very best form. If she can do that then there is no question in my mind she is the classiest horse in the race and even if we don’t get the $3 quoted in today’s paper, she will be worth a little punt.

Keayang Storm (Race 8 No.4) $4.50
I love what this well-related son of Grinfromeartoear did on debut. He showed speed, took a sit on the highly rated Adam Cartwright (recent Group 3 runner-up) then tagged him all the way up the straight to be beaten just on a sulkies length. Considering he is a half to Keayang Cullen and had trialled well prior to debut, we can expect him to rush forward again tonight and be extremely hard to hold out at the knock. Again, we may not see the $4.50 in today’s Herald Sun but any price is a good price about a winner.

Best Roughie ($25 win)
Narra Operative (Race 4 No.6) $13
It’s not hard to tell this guy is well down on his best form but this is a massive drop in class and just four starts back he was running third to Savesomtimetodream and Smudge Bromac in a Gunbower Cup. For that reason alone he is worth a small speculative bet if he turns up at big odds.

The Money Races ($50 flexi trifectas)
Race 2
Essentially VC Manoeuvre (5) is clearly the horse to beat and is building a nice record for the Butts but he is by no means over the line with Soho Lennon (3) a nice horse who could roll him if things go his way. We will play some trifectas here with the only other live chances in On Fire Within (1) and Missanger Management (7) to fill the other place position.

5/3/1,7. $18 gets 900%
3/5/1,7. $12 gets 600%
5/1,7/3. $14 gets 700%
3/1,7/5. $6 gets 300%

The Quaddie ($100)
2,3,4,5,6,7/10,11/4,5,7,9/1,2,3,6,10. $100 gets 41.66%

Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Charlton

The Game Plan for Charlton – with Andrew Evans (@AndrewEvansHRV)
Best Bets ($100 All Up win)
The Boss Man (Race 1 No.3)
This guy bolted in at his first run back from a break against similar opposition last start. He will go around at a very short price here and he will be winning again with a repeat of that performance.
Willow Robyn (Race 2 No.9)
This bloke was well beaten by the flying Clancys Fobwatch last start but there was a big gap back to third spot. He won his only start around this track three runs back and he looks to have a class edge on his rivals and shouldn’t have too much trouble overcoming his second row draw.
Wongalea Bingo (Race 3 No.2)
This guy was impressive winning at his first start for Shayne Cramp two runs back then was game in defeat last start after drawing on the second line. Expect him to position up in a good spot from his good draw today and be hard to beat.
The Money Races
Race 4 ($50 Trifectas)
1,4/ 1,4/ 2,3 $35 gets 1750%
1,4/ 2,3/ 1,4 $15 gets 750%
Race 7 ($50 First 4’s)
2,5/ 2,5/ 1/ 3,6,7 $25 gets 416.67%
2,5/ 2,5/ 3,6,7/ 1 $15 gets 250%
2,5/ 2,5/ 3,6,7/ 3,6,7 $10 gets 83.33%
Quaddies (x1)
1,4/ 1,2,3,4,7,8/ 3,4,5/ 2,5 $100 gets 138.89%

Good Form Preview - Welcome To 2014 @ Echuca

The Game Plan for Echuca – with Blake Redden (@BlakeRedden)
There will no doubt be a few sore heads waking up today but the best way to shake of the bang that we went out with last night is simply to back up and win some of it back on the punt at Echuca. In saying that I’m not as keen tonight as I was on yesterday’s Bendigo meeting but there’s no reason we can’t end up in front of the ledger if we play the bets outlined in today’s Game Plan.

Best Bet ($50 win)
Timeseel (Race 7 No.1) $2.40
This guy was good enough to run fourth in a Vic Derby heat early last year and even his ninth in the final is creditable given the grade he has dropped to as a four-year-old this season. He got the job done last time out and from the gun barrier, in a race that appears no harder, he really should get the job done again tonight.

Best Value ($25 each way)
Idle Hands (Race 2 No.3) $4
Third up from a spell and another drop in class should really suit this recently turned four-year-old. He is the only serious chance off the front row and if he can get into the running line swiftly, or even be first to the pegs, then I expect him to be very hard to beat in a race that lacks depth.

Turnoffate (Race 4 No.9) $5.50
Similarly this is a pretty even race but this guy has shown he can win and his form is okay for a race of this nature. He will need some luck from his second row barrier but if things pan out for him in the early stages then expect him to be awfully hard to hold out in the run to the line.

The Money Race ($50 flexi trifectas)
Race 6
Kyvalley Rap (10) clearly has the class on his side and would only need to return to the form he showed prior to his last two where he has made mistakes. If he can do that he is close to a good thing but we will play a saver trifecta with the inform Conchs Critter (6) and enigmatic Dabbsey (8) to get the cash in his absence.

10/5,6,7,8,9,10/3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. $30.50 gets 75%
6,8/5,6,7,8,9,10/3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. $19.50 gets 32.5%

Quaddies (x4)
9/1,2,3,5/10/1. $18 gets 225%
2,3,4,5/1,2,3,5/10/1. $15 gets 50%
9/1,2,3,7,8/5,6,7,8,9/1. $12 gets 150%
2,3,4,5/1,2,3,7,8/5,6,7,8,9/1. $10 gets 33.33%

Good Form Preview - New Years Day @ Kilmore

The Game Plan for Kilmore – with Andrew Evans (@AndrewEvansHRV)

Best Bets ($75 win)
Nico Serano (Race 2 No.3)
This guy broke through for his first win in impressive fashion at Melton last start where he went straight to the front and scored with ease. He looks a class above his rivals here and should make it two in a row if he does everything right.
Don’t Wanadie (Race 7 No.3)
This guy was most impressive winning his second race last start. He is versatile and will be very hard to beat from his front row draw against this opposition.
Money Race
Race 4
Box Trifecta 2,4,8 $50 gets 833.33%
Quaddies (x1)
2,4,8/ 5,7/ 1,2,3,4/ 3 $100 gets 416.67%
