The Game Plan for Bendigo - with Jason Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Best Bet ($50 Win)
Union Belle (Race 9 no. 7) $2
Normally the thought of having a Best Bet in a no-lifetime-wins race for horses 3YO and older would make me queasy but the fact of the matter is this girl should be around flip of the coin odds and given she has as much money in the bank as all of her rivals combined and she was huge in defeat last time out I'm willing to break a general rule and make her the main focus of our night.
Best Value ($10 x $15)
Indiana Angel (Race 1 no. 1) $8.50
In a race with plenty of question marks which has only been further confused by the inclusion of Real Elegance (2) this girl will lob behind the leader or three pegs at worst - and ideal place to be over the 1650m trip at Bendigo - and after an encouraging debut run she's woth an Each Way ticket.
Metromint (Race 5 no. 8) $4.50
This is another wide-open affair but I have been following this mare since her career kicked off and given she too will be behind the leader or three pegs at worst over the Bendigo mile and she was huge in defeat last time out I'm also happy to back on an Each Way basis.
Marita Lousie Ok (Race 6 no. 10) $5.50
A bit like our previous Best Value bet this is another mare I've been tracking for a very long time and while she'll have her work cut out against Rosalie Bay (9) she has a more consistent record from the strands and races well at Lords Raceway (16:2-2-1) so is alsow orth an Each Way wager.
Pine Plains (Race 7 no. 3) $5.50
Here we have yet another race confused by question marks over the leading chances and on trial form alone this pacer should be good enough to fill a hole and very possibly take this out tonight.
The Money Race - Race 3
The philosophy here is pretty simple. Salem (2) shoudl lead Little Red Cloud (1) shopudl sit on his back and from there they shoudl dominate the race. I'm taking two F4's in the hope of getting some value out of the race.

Good Form Preview - 10 Of The Best @ HQ
The Game Plan for Melton – with Jason
Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
We have been one-batting a bit for the past couple of
weeks but after a nice win on the Quaddie last night I’m super keen to parlay
our profit at HQ tonight. Regardless of what people say, Tabcorp Park is as
good a place to punt as any track in Australia and I’m confident that on a
night where there may be no red figure favourites we can still make a dollar by
smashing one Best Bet, two Value runners, one Money Race and some Quads.
So let’s get amongst it!
Best Bet
Our Icarus (Race 2 no. 11) $2.50
If the media outlets are right and I am wrong, then this
bloke may start quite a bit longer than the $2.50 I’ve marked him at in today’s
Herald Sun, so let’s establish some punting ground rules before we go any
further.
* If he opens $4+ then have $25 Each Way
*If he opens less than $4 outlay $50 for the Win
Right, now that’s out of the way, the reason I’m so keen
on this bloke tonight is pretty simple; he’s in form, he can do work in his
races and there are big question marks over ALL of his major rivals tonight.
Best Value ($25 Each Way)
Pinevale Willpower (Race 5 no. 7) $7.50
I’m half-keen here. The scratching of In Monaco has
played right onto the hands of this brilliant beginner because even though he’s
drawn wide w/ two Lance Justice-trained horses inside him, I think he’ll spear
his way to the early lead and from there he will only need class runners Bettor
Give It (12) & Keayang Steamer (13) to engage in some
cat-and-mouse tactics at the back of the field to steal a quarter and pinch a
march on those more fancied rivals here tonight.
Lovable Larrikin (Race 6 no. 1) $7.50 TAB Fixed

The only drawback for this guy is if Fiery Achiever
(5) crosses to the top and then hands up to stablemate Toulouse Lautrec
(7) because that will leave him three back the poles but the fact of the
matter is that he’s a natural ambush artist who will thrive on the soft trip
he’ll receive tonight and given he’s still $2.38 the drum w/ TAB I think he’s
the Each Way special of the night.
Best Roughie ($10 x $40)
Megasam (Race 10 no. 3) $9
The Claimer is a funny old race but if this bloke can
find the top as expected he can either shoot for an all-the-way win or more
likely hand-up to an appropriate rival and given he wasn’t far behind Toulouse
Lautrec in a similar race to this four starts back and was better than he
looked here last weekend I think he’s in the mix as a value Each way hope.
The Money Race - Race 1
There are only two possible scenarios I can envisage
here. In the first, Sundons Promise (1) begins quickly, enjoys an
unchallenged lead and wins with a leg in the air. In the other, they go
ballistic early, break the field up and set the scene for Stoned I Am (11) to
charge home over the top. With that in mind I’m having two Trifectas, expecting
the first to win us some cabbage.

Good Form Preview - Friday @ Mildura
The Game Plan for Mildura – with Jason
Bonnington (@jasonbonnington)
Best Value ($25 Each Way)
Pental Cracker (Race 3 no. 2) $8
This guy went gangbusters when first-up for Shayne Cramp last start and in a race of limited winning hopes he looks a sensational Each way bet.
One Dog One Bone (Race 5 no. 5) $4.20
He broke through a well deserved win last start and given he has the front row draw advantage over his main rivals I think he looks the one they have to beat.
Brookfield Talent (Race 7 no. 1) $6
Interestingly, Shayne Cramp was down to drive this horse ahead of stablemate Four Sisters (7) before his six month steering suspension was ratified during the week. He has improved at every start for the master trainer and also looks an awesome Each Way option.
Quaddies (x2)
5,6,8/ 5,9,10/ 6/ 1,7. $55 gets 305.56%

Good Form Preview - Thursday Night @ Kilmore
The Game Plan for Kilmore – with Jason Bonnington
(@jasonbonnington)
There will be a couple of shorties at Kilmore tonight but if we largely avoid them and focus our attention on a couple of runners at decent odds plus the Quads I think we can profit ahead of tomorrow’s Tabcorp Park card.
This girl won her APG final over Louvre and co as a juvenile pacer and she did enough first-up for new trainer Lisa Miles last start to suggest she’ll be finding the top here and leading this lot a merry dance over the mile.
5/ 2/ 10,11,12/ 8,9,12. $40 gets 444.44%

Artoc (Race 7 no. 3) $3.20 ($50 Win)
After a hat-trick of wins, this big bloke may have aimed a
touch high when taking on the Tabcorp Park Melton Cup Series last start but
back to a C4-C5 event here he should work his way to the top and prove almost
impossible to run down.

Good Form Preview - Thursday @ Geelong
The Game Plan for Geelong – with Jason Bonnington
(@jasonbonnington)
I’ve had a really detailed look at this card and think it’s
the best meeting of the week on which to snare some folding. As a result, we’re
going to attack it w/ full force, targeting three Best Bets, one Value Bet, one
Roughie, one Money Race and some Quads!
Best Bets/ All-Up/ Formula 2
I’ll be dividing $125 up here between a $50 All-Up and a $25
Formula 2 worth $75.
Courageousnquick (Race 1 no. 1) $1.90
This filly, who’s often been accused of being very quick but
not quite so courageous, was slightly disappointing on face value last time out
but from the draw here she should lead them around and with a lack of genuine
class or pressure engaged I think she’ll prove a class above.
Gypsy Babe (Race 3 no. 4) $1.70
If you were to target just one genuine moral right across
the programme I think it would be this girl as she looks a 90% chance of
working her way to the lead and from there I can’t see how they’ll possibly mow
her down. She did pull badly last start but this is a very different race and
I’d be surprised if she played up twice in a row.
Bettor Believe It (Race 6 no. 11) $1.90
Classy and consistent, I just think this lovable mare has something
on her rivals here and whether she has to go it alone three-wide or she gets a
cart into the race I’m confident she’ll be winning with any luck today.
Best Value ($25 Each Way)
Jewel Castle (Race 2 no. 9) $3.50This little Raceapacer filly just had to do a little too much work last start but she has had a terrific season and in a race where there’s question marks over a few of her rivals I’m prepared to stick with the the local if her paper quote (or better) holds true.
Best Roughie ($10 by $40)
Modern Max (Race 5 no. 6) $12Don’t break the bank here but if you’re looking for one at double figure odds, then entertain the thought of backing this bloke, who has been better than he might appear on paper in two runs for David Aiken so far in Vic.
The Money Race – Race 3
As previously mentioned, I think Gypsy Babe (4) has
this race on toast and from a punting perspective the race may be a goldmine
since her main dangers should be behind the leader and three pegs in transit.
Have a crack at the below First 4’s and you may land a pretty big prize.
